Don't feel alone I was at stall for weeks and I'm still only down 30 lbs . I'm having the hardest time , nothing seems to be going down and I just keep feeling "blah" as the days go by I feel like I'm getting more and more depressed. I feel like I Want to step down at my job and just focus on my health bc every day I'm sick. I'm getting in my liquids but I kno I'm not getting in enough Protein . I stopped working out bc I have no energy. Some days I can eat a little bit other days nothing. I'm about 9 weeks out now . Is anybody else going through this ? Any advice

someone else also said it could be muscle but idk ... your right I do need to be patient , I guess when u see how little your eating your expectation is that the weight should be falling off .

Could be that you are adding muscle if you've been exercising - but I wouldn't be too discouraged if the numbers aren't moving. There are many non - scale victories to be had (more energy, clothes fitting better, etc.) 14 lbs is still a great loss and you will see those lbs melt away in the next several months if you keep up the good work I'm sure. Don't be too hard on yourself and be patient with those numbers.

I think that it would be quite beneficial to the flow of the board if everyone made a point to remember that we are here to lift each other up as we all go through the same journey.
I realize some of you may not want to hear this, but there is no "right" way to do this. Each person's success will be different.. each person's body will respond differently. What worked for you may not work for someone else. Even our doctors don't agree on diet, exercise, etc... So before we slam down our "fist of absolute truth," let's try to remember that we are all on this journey together, and lift one another up.

I had my sleeve completed yesterday!!! It was a pretty icky four or five hours after surgery for me in terms of how I was feeling. However I slowly started feeling better last night and so far today ( I know it is only 7:30am) I am doing pretty good! Not much nausea or pain (although they are giving me nausea meds through my IV every eight hours). I do have a pain pump, but I have really only had to use it when I get up to ambulate, as I am pretty tender. I have not had hardly any gas pain, just a lot of burping. The ice chips have tasted good, but I have to be sure to suck on them slowly or Ms. sleeve lets me know she is not happy. I got my foley catch out this morning and I am done with my oxygen too! I have been trying to walk every hour as that seems to help with my burping. Today is the first day that I will be trying some Clear Liquids. That is what I am most nervous about, making sure I am able to meet my requirements without making myself nauseated or sick. I am supposed to go home tomorrow, and yes I am nervous about that too because I do not want to get dehydrated! I wish all the rest of you the best of luck with your upcoming surgeries . I will eventually post some before and after pictures and will keep you all updated on my progress.

Went to see Dr. Seger at BMI of Texas for my initial consult today. It went great. I am now on my preop diet for the next six months. All the usual tests have been scheduled (psych eval, etc.). Also the insurance company has given me my checklist, and if approved, they will cover all of it, less my $500 deductible! Now I have actual measurable goals that I can actually see and work towards which I feel makes this more possible than ever! I am so pumped. As Ice Cube used to say.

Hello everyone ! My name is Quiona and I am 24 years old. My sleeves birthday is January 29th. Just the other day we celebrated 1month ... I am beyond happy with my procedure. I am down over 40lbs and the changes to my body are drastic. As far as food I've been able to tolerate whatever I decide to eat. I don't do carbs, sugars or fat(by choice) . I eat crackers though. I go to the gym twice a day for a total of 4 hours and every morning before I head to the gym I walk my dog for 3miles. I think the surgery has been one of the best decisions I've made in my life! I'm posting two pictures for some motivation for others . Good luck on your journey !

p3aCH3s reacted to sleevie.wonder in Today is my One Year Survigersary! My story & pics @ 135 lbs lost so far.
(sorry about the atrocious typo in the title >.<. "SURGIVERSARY"!)
I'm sitting her reminiscing about my surgery day. I remember so clearly the emotions that I was feeling. I was not scared in the least. I was so READY. I did have a bit of anxiety, as anyone who is about to go under the knife would have, but was never scared. Waking up from the surgery was one of the biggest sighs of relief that I have ever taken. It's over with! I'm alive! Yeah I feel like crap, but I "feel" AMAZING! I only had to stay one night in the hospital.
Recovery after surgery was typical. I took 3 weeks off of work which I felt every day was needed. Pain was manageable and I didn't take any pain meds at home. I also never threw up, and still have not thrown up once since surgery.
I followed all of the stages to a 'T'. It took six months to lose 100 lbs.
I've had the best, most ideal experience with the sleeve and I am so thankful for that. As of today, one year out, I am down 135 lbs. I am smaller then I was in high school by about 40-50 lbs. I think I was this weight in elementary school, no joke.
I have been at this weight since November, though. I've been maintaining around 3 months, which is fine.
I do want to mention that I lost a lot of hair. At least half of what I had is gone. Seems like more but probably not. So now I have very thin, fine hair. I'm ok with it though, as it is already growing back. I feel like I look like Elvira at the moment because all the new stuff sticks straight up. I have to hairspray it back down lol. I still lose a little in the shower, but as far as losing hair by the handfulls, that part is over.
I do have lose skin. It isn't terrible, but very noticeable. I look good with clothes on and that's it. My next goal is to start working on toning, to see if it makes any difference.
I'm happy to answer any questions anyone may have.

    Edit:
Here's a pic I took this evening. I have always dreamed of taking picture like this! This is me in my size 22's that I used to wear all the time pre-op. In fact, I think I'm wearing them in the picture above (the one in the pink shirt.) I wear a size 8 now.
