  7. I currently am 4mos and 2wks out and have dropped to a size 16 /17 or a 1x from a 3x and tops from a 3x to a 1x or 2x depending on the length. my current weight is down as well this week due to walking more and more each week. I have lost a total of 78lbs so far.
  8. How did you get this covered and is it covered only in your state? I'm from CT
  9. Where are you getting this flavor of Protein drink and do you have to mix it?

  15. I'm 11wks and still on soft foods. Everyone heals differently. I too had trouble with eggs and ground turkey,as well as Tuna with low fat mayo in very small amts. Hasn't really gotten any bigger in the eating category and I just contacted my Nutritionists for suggestions. Maybe you can do the same to see what is able to be tolerated between your Dr and your Nutritionist. Hope this helps.
  16. It feels great when someone notices! keep up the good work I had a gastric bypass and have finally lost 61lbs have several more to go but am well on my way. I just am having difficulty getting to exercise due to all our snowy weather up here in CT! Again Congrats!

  18. I was in on a Tues and home on a Fri (extra day due to not eating and drinking what was required before you could leave). I have gastroparesis and I couldn't eat or drink anything. I just wasn't ready till that 3rd day. So your body will tell you when it is time to go home. Don't rush it. You just might end up back in dehydrated or with complications and then you are away from home more than you wanted to begin with! I hope this helps.
  19. Feeling better at 11wks post op I still have gastroparesis diagnosis even though I had the bypass Dr was optimistic that it might go away with this surgery. I had a gastric pump before this surgery and they removed it to try and shrink stomach for elimination of gastroparesis symptoms. However, I still have slow digestion and nausea which didn't go away. However with some meds I do feel better everyday! I know this isn't everyone elses pain issue but maybe with small portion control and right foods for your diet going forward can help your issues. Be patient The weight does come off .
  20. Where do You get these fruit flavored Protein drinks? I am having trouble with milky and whey products after surg. However yogurt and puddings and cottage cheese are fine my Protein shakes are harsh to bare. A fruit flavored drink may be the way to go to get the protein in??? Can you tell me where You get them?
  21. My Drs state never to have Fluid unless u wait 30 min after u eat something. Never overloud yourself or you may get sick. I have had this happen a few times and I'm learning as I go. I'm just about 10wks post op!
  22. I too am having trouble with the Protein shakes making me sick. I'm 9 wks after surg and the Dr asked me to try diff foods with protein in it and try powder shakes to mix with the food to make the protein higher or use a protein shake without whey or lactose. Does anyone have any suggestions to what foods you can have that are soft for your diet but high in protein? This will help thanks.

  26. Hi I'm Michele I'm 9 wks Post op and I have similar pain and struggles with food going down. However I have lost 56lbs so far. I know with exercise and motivation they say things may feel better. I do have more energy so I do believe you will too as time goes on and you lose more weight and you heal!
