I have a follow up today that I'm nervous about. I really don't want a feeding tube. I've been getting my 60 grams of Protein just not my Water. Pray for me please!

I never took morphine. I didn't need any pain meds after the 2nd day. Not even Tylenol. I had a great surgery.

Yep I got that too. So strange lol. It's kinda cool because I was always the sweaty girl and now I'm cold. I went to a wedding yesterday and it was packed. I was dancing with my husband and 15 minutes in I wasn't sweating like a pig and I wasn't even tired! My hair stayed perfect as well as my make up because I wasn't sweating! That's cool!

Steroids are working and I'm approved for all soft foods. They said the meatballs were a mistake and they told me wrong. So... lol I'm doing well. Staying in the steroids until 4 weeks post op. I'm excited to have a banana ... Even though it's probably two bites lol

I will pray for you Jazmundo. Having a feeding tube sounds awful, I hope you can avoid it.You are doing great with your Protein intake, so good job there!
I am moving on to purees today, sounds like nursing home food, however, my surgeon said I will probably like this phase (I am on it for 3 weeks) as there is more variety and flavor.

Hardly anyone knew about it before hand but now everyone knows. I get good comments and bad comments but ... I DON'T CARE!! It's my body and I made the best decision for me.

Yay! I got down 2 Protein Shakes today and half of a hamburger patty! Hopefully that keeps me off the feeding tube!!! Just had to share 2 weeks post op tomorrow.

I had my sleeve jan 5 I have not found any foods I can't eat. I choose to stay away from sugars. But have eaten fish sausage bacon beef with no problems. But I do chew the heck out of my food and I don't over do the portion size.

I'm 2 weeks post op tomorrow, suppose to start mushies too but my sleeve still can't handle full liquids. It sucks. I think we will have ups an downs for a few months before our bodies and our sleeves really get the hang of it yA know. Sorry you haven't felt well, keep your head up

Well they did a test and said its a stricture and inflammation. Unfortunately they can't dilate it because I'm barely 12 days post op and they worry that it will cause a rupture. So... I'm going to the er for iv fluids. They are going to give me strong steroids to try and decrease the swelling to see how bad the stricture is. They said the next option is a feeding tube! I told them I'd rather hold off on the feeding tube. Hopefully the steroids help a little.

Good to hear that. Yeah my surgeon does full liquids right after surgery. Which allows cream Soups, yogurt and thinned cream of wheat. I was fine until I took that extra sip of the Cereal. Then bam, I can't stop regurgitating. I'm afraid I'll rip my sleeve from all the vomiting..

You guys are really the ones keeping me together right now. Thank you so much! I know it has to get better but right now it sucks. I'm at the surgeons office. They are going to check for a stricture. Hoping either way they find out.

My seizure meds are huge ass pills and I couldn't take them both at the same time -- too full. I had to take one, wait an hour, take the other. I filled up on Vitamins most days so eating food was a NOPE.

I felt very weak for about 10 days after surgery and then I felt pretty good.
I was so excited and grateful about having had the surgery that everything else was inconsequential once the room stopped spinning, lol. I have been so damn happy since I was sleeved it isn't funny.

My surgery is Tuesday and I can't be more excited. And what makes it so much better is that my church family is noticing my loss already and I'm only 20 pounds down. This makes me believe more that I'm doing the right thing! Oh.....and my daddy noticed it too...he thought it was just my outfit today but its not! Lol!!!
