Holy cow! Hamburger already? I'm craving meat....I'm 3 days post op and I'm counting down until my puréed foods.. Probably 2-3 more weeks per my dr.

Surprisingly it went down 0 problems. Probably because I chewed the crap out of it and it's sure protein. It was just a plain patty. No seasoning and it was grilled so low grease. It was small too but I feel so accomplished. Going from nothing last week to finally being able to tolerate a little bit is amazing. I'm not pushing it. Every Time I eat dairy I get sick so maybe I just need to stay away from it. Maybe applesauce is better for me.

Yes! I think I'll try lunch meat with a baby bel soft cheese tomorrow. Just like a bite or two.

I still think you should focus on 4 protein shakes a day before you overdue it with food. And maybe some soup - thick creamy soups. We were sleeved the same week. I haven't started with meat yet- just soups, Greek yogurt and mashed potatoes w/ chili & cheese

But I'm happy to see you are doing better

Glad to hear! Just take your time with things. Go with your gut....well I guess you have to its kind of running the show right now lol

My sleeve hates dairy so I'm off most dairy. So no creamed soups. The baby bell was a no go. I got the okay to go to simple, soft/mushie proteins like meatballs and lunch meat. It goes down super easy :) I can only do 2-2.5 proteins shakes a day because the volume is too much. I get all my 60 grams tho. I do a whey protein shot that has 20 grams. I still struggle with water but I'm slowly busy surely getting there. Thanks for all the comments and advice! I go in for another test today. Hopefully they tell me I don't need the feeding tube because I'm doing well on steroids.

@@Jazmundo What kind of protein shots do you take? This is the first I heard of them and are looking them up.

You can't absorb collagen protein as well as whey isolate don't waste your money.
