  1. The bypass has made me feel truly full for the first time in my life. With band, I never felt full and would end up vomiting.

Lapband revised to bypass but scared!

I've had many surgeries...c-section, nephrectomy, gallbladder removal, lapband. When my band slipped I lost all hope and gained all my weight back. I had RNY less than two months ago and I'm already down 50 lbs!!! The doctor took out the lapband at the same time. I only stayed in the hospital 2 days and have had no complications. I was scared to death, but this has been the best weight loss decision i've ever made. In my opinion RNY is the way to go.

    January 2015 gastric bypass surgery

How is everyone doing? Are you happy with your weight loss so far? What stage of food are you in? Have you had any complications? Any exciting moments?

    Like clock work....

I just hot the three week stall. I'm down 29 lbs and couldn't wait to say I am down 30! Well, that may not happen right away. But I am so relieved to know that a "3 week stall" is actually a thing that others go through too. If I didn't know about this ahead of time I'm sure I would be really hard on myself...and I don't want that kind of negativity when I'm working so hard at this!

    3 days until revision!

I had revision from band to RNY on January 23, 2015. I stayed 2 days in the hospital. I was off heavy pain medicine the next morning. I walked right way and kept walking. I sipped water every 15 minutes. I know I am very lucky and thank god for a relatively easy recovery. I had very little pain, quick recovery and I'm down 26 lbs. already. I have been following my doctors orders to a "T". I wish I had done the RNY the first time, but I was too scared. This has been one of the best decisions I've made! I wish you the best of luck!
  8. I am planning on setting up rewards for lbs. lost. Does anyone else do this? If so, what have you rewarded yourself with? And, do you think this is a good idea to begin with?

    Triple Zero

Has anyone tried this new yogurt from Oikos? It tastes really good and a great source of protein.

    Can't sleep

After surgery my Restless Leg Syndrome has gotten worse and has disrupted my sleep schedule. I'm trying to figure out why. Maybe because I am 10 days post op and have been resting more during the day? Has anyone else had this problem?
