blashlee got a reaction from LoseItKacy in Five month surgiversary....
Hey all. This past Sunday 9/6/15 was my 5 month surgiversary!! I have lost 90 lbs since starting my journey back in January. I've gone from a size 16/18 2XL to size 8/M.
To Celebrate my 5 month surgiversary, I ran the Disneyland Half Marathon! I completed 13.1 miles in 3:00:49 and smiled the entire course! It was incredible. I went from someone who once had a full blown meltdown trying to run a half mile exercise to someone who eats miles for Breakfast. I never ever thought I would see this day. So happy to have been granted this second chance at life and I'm glad to report I am using it to the fullest! I'm already registered for another run and contemplating two more.

When a featured model is said to be wearing a certain size (14/16, 1XL) but she's perfectly proportioned (flat tummy, hourglass shape, perfectly defined waist, perfect bust) and looks like she probably wears half that size.
I hate that plus size clothes have extra room in the bust; not all plus size women have large chests.
I hate that there's such a big jump from plus size to regular sizes; the inbetween phase is so not fun.

That makes sense. I never really felt like I lacked confidence being heavier but I have been told that I seem happier so that could be it. I'm ok with compliments and positive comments but all the nosiness and increased interest in my life feels very intrusive though. I think that's the part I'm bothered by most.

I just want to say that I LOVE your personality! I laughed so hard when you made the DMV comment! I did that too. They like I'm like 190!!! I haven't weighed 190 since 11th grade!
Can't wait until it's the truth tho!
Congrats on all your progress! It really is inspiring! <3

I'm confused, you said you started the journey in January, so I am assuming you lost before surgery? How much did you lose after surgery. 90lbs is amazing no matter when you started, I am just celebrating my 3 month and I am almost to 50 and know I will never lose 40 more in two months so just jealous lol. Congratulations on being so successful.

After 10 years of watching my weight creep up up up into the 200s and finally topping out at 260, I am finally seeing a 1 before my weight again! I really like it here, I'm never going back!!! Another 8 lbs and I'll weigh what I lied and told the DMV I weighed LOL

blashlee got a reaction from Nurse_Lenora in Dreamsicle Jellotein
I found a recipe for adding Protein to Jello and I've come up with some really good mixes but this one is my favorite. I'm on my preop liquid diet and my doctor said this was fine and would probably be fine post op as well.
You will need
sugar-free Orange Jello mix
Water
vanilla Protein Powder (I used Quest Vanilla Milkshake)
Fat-Free (sugar free if you can find it) cool whip or whipped topping (optional)
Prepare Jello as instructed on box. Whisk Gelatin completely. Add 2 scoops of protein powder and whisk thoroughly. The mix will thicken and look a bit milky. Don't whisk it so much that it's foamy. The protein will separate. Pour into container or individual containers for small servings. Refrigerate until set (I let mine set overnight). Top with a small spoonful of whipped topping when serving or eating (again, optional).
Tastes just like that classic Popsicle without the sugar .
I don't wanna give the macros on this because your protein might be different than mine.
