  12. Don't beat yourself up! Keep answering her questions. Once she sees how great you do after surgery she will be excited for you:) She needs time to process. So sorry she is having a hard time. I am excited for your surgery. It was the best thing I ever did for myself!

  14. The rny was nothing! I was surprised by the lack of pain. I want a tummy tuck but I know that will hurt like crazy.
  15. We are all different. I don't think that any one way is right or wrong. You have to do what's best for your family and what's best for you. If that's what you were comfortable with than that's great! Either way they get a healthy mom out of it;)
  16. I lost for about a year and then went into maintenance. I am a year and a Half out. I chose to not have trigger foods in my diet. For me that includes bread, sweets, anything heavy in carbs. But I do eat a lot of sweet potatoes. I still drink shakes. Everyday. I mainly have one for breakfast or a snack at night. I know how miserable and in pain I was before getting rny and it scares me to think of ever being in that situation again. That's my big motivator. I also get in low impact exercise about 5 days a week.

  19. Refried beans with melted cheese. Tasted like heaven when I graduated to mushy foods.
  20. Sounds like your on track. I never count calories. Just protein. I also don't eat carbs even st this far out. So I would say keep measuring and counting your protein. Drink drink drink! Water will keep your metabolism going. You working out? Early on I could barely walk without my back going out. But I was able to doa bit of a leslie sansone video with a back brace. I have done her videos religiously since. Now I can do them with a light back brace and knee compression sleeves.
  21. You got this toasty! It's a wild ride and totally worth it!

  24. Toasty I am so excited for you! I woke up so happy after surgery. I just knew my life had just changed and I was beginning my second chance. I have never regretted it. My best advice is do exactly what your doc says. Don't stray on your diet. That tends to get people in trouble. Measure everything and write it down. It helped me to write everything at first. That way I made sure I took my vitamins and got in enough protein and water. I don't do that now cuz it's second nature at this point. Keep us posted! Can't wait to see how you do!
