I can't decide if I should get my boobs done or not. Are you happy with yours?

got kids?
Don't beat yourself up! Keep answering her questions. Once she sees how great you do after surgery she will be excited for you:) She needs time to process. So sorry she is having a hard time. I am excited for your surgery. It was the best thing I ever did for myself!

Face lift on 9/3/15! Last of my plastics
The rny was nothing! I was surprised by the lack of pain. I want a tummy tuck but I know that will hurt like crazy.

got kids?
We are all different. I don't think that any one way is right or wrong. You have to do what's best for your family and what's best for you. If that's what you were comfortable with than that's great! Either way they get a healthy mom out of it;)

1st question, Why couldn't I loose on my own? Next -How do I not regain?
I lost for about a year and then went into maintenance. I am a year and a Half out. I chose to not have trigger foods in my diet. For me that includes bread, sweets, anything heavy in carbs. But I do eat a lot of sweet potatoes. I still drink shakes. Everyday. I mainly have one for breakfast or a snack at night. I know how miserable and in pain I was before getting rny and it scares me to think of ever being in that situation again. That's my big motivator. I also get in low impact exercise about 5 days a week.

Calories and being discouraged
Refried beans with melted cheese. Tasted like heaven when I graduated to mushy foods.

Calories and being discouraged
Sounds like your on track. I never count calories. Just protein. I also don't eat carbs even st this far out. So I would say keep measuring and counting your protein. Drink drink drink! Water will keep your metabolism going. You working out? Early on I could barely walk without my back going out. But I was able to doa bit of a leslie sansone video with a back brace. I have done her videos religiously since. Now I can do them with a light back brace and knee compression sleeves.

My Turn
You got this toasty! It's a wild ride and totally worth it!

Scared. Having second thoughts.
Toasty I am so excited for you! I woke up so happy after surgery. I just knew my life had just changed and I was beginning my second chance. I have never regretted it. My best advice is do exactly what your doc says. Don't stray on your diet. That tends to get people in trouble. Measure everything and write it down. It helped me to write everything at first. That way I made sure I took my vitamins and got in enough protein and water. I don't do that now cuz it's second nature at this point. Keep us posted! Can't wait to see how you do!

Argument for Surgeon as to Why I Want the Bypass
I got the bypass and it's awesome! It's your body get what you want. I had gerd and it helped a lot. I didn't want the sleeve because I read the weight loss was better with bypass. But I am sure there are many of you that did amazing on the sleeve I have no experience with the sleeve so I am most definitely biased. Lol

got kids?
Eowynmn I did the same thing. They are so happy I got it done cuz I am a much better mom now. I am healthier and so are my kids. My healthy eating has affected everyone. I am so glad I didn't wait! Mine were 4 and 7 as well.

Holy smokes! Looks great!

Scared. Having second thoughts.
Lemon I did the same thing. Did the 6 month thing before I fully committed. I figured I could make the decision after trying to diet. I did terrible and knew I needed the surgery. No regrets!

I'm just like him...
I am super excited for you both! I felt like my surgery was a reset button for my life. I got bypass 3/14/14. Was the nicest thing I have ever done for myself. I can now be a better mother and wife. There were so many things I couldn't do before and now nothing holds me back! Good luck and keep us all posted!

Scared. Having second thoughts.
I found a good therapist to start seeing after my surgery and it really helped me deal with my food addictions. It helps to go and talk things out with someone that won't judge you. I got rid of a lot of emotional garbage I had stored up and I found that I was able to cope without stuffing my face.

Plant Based Diet
My mother in law had the band. She hated it. Food always got stuck. She got bypass and loves it.
-
Plant Based Diet
They help break down food. Your body produces it's own enzymes but as we age it tends to produce less and after bypass our tummy isn't producing near enough. So to help digestion along and prevent unnecessary tummy aches I take them daily. It helps with the nasty post bypass gas too;)

Plant Based Diet
Just remember to chew chew chew. And try taking some enzymes. I recommend either chewable American health papaya enzymes or source natural enzymes capsules. I just open the enzymes and sprinkle it on my food. Completely tasteless.

What the what? That's crazy. Don't sweat it. Just drink shakes and drink a ton of water to flush out any water weight.
