  1. Try meditation daily for the panic attacks. It really helped me.
  2. I'm feeling guilty today because I splurged on 5 mini cupcakes with icing. I was just going to have one, and got carried away. I felt horrible after, physically and emotionally. Cake is my weakness and I knew better. I feel I can never splurge without feeling so guilty. I'm only 4 months out and know I shouldn't be doing this. Thanks for letting me vent too...

    Hair loss

I'm kinda freaking out now about my hair loss. I'm at 3 months and it just started, so was pleased to see the issue brought back up on the forum. My shower is full of hair everytime I wash my hair. My bathroom is full of my hair. My hair is one of my best attributes so yes, I'm worried. I do hope it stops shedding soon.

    Today was big day!

Congratulations! Keep up the walking. Wish I had after my surgery. Would have helped with the gas!
  5. Best of luck to you. There are days that I question my surgery decision, but most days I believe it's the best decision I've ever made. I too felt panic right before my surgery and almost backed out. I'm so glad I went through with it. I'm 6 weeks out and 27 lbs down.
  6. Hopeandagony I'm with you on being afraid of getting sick. I was hesitant to have this surgery, as I have a phobia of throwing up. So far, it hasn't happened. I'm 6 weeks out. I never eat more that 3-4 Oz at a time though and strictly abide by the drinking rules.

    Decaf coffee

I started having decaf with creamer 4 weeks out. I'm sitting here enjoying a cup right now. I do just fine with it.

    Awesome news!

    Congratulations and Happy Birthday!
  9. So sorry to hear this sad news. I'll keep your family in my prayers
  10. Hope you feel better!

    Gassy!

The gas x strips worked well for me along with walking. I also found that slow, deep breathing helped to release it.

    100 lbs

Wow, you look imaging. I started at the same weight you did. I sure hope I get as good results as you did! I'm only 3 weeks out.
  13. My psychiatrist is concerned this could happen to me too, so I did start therapy. I think it will really benefit me. I found someone who works on a sliding scale that sees me for $40 per session. Of course this group is great for support too. I'm on here as much as I can. A local support group like I am fortunate enough to have is also a great idea. Best wishes...

    1st time posting...surgery in 5 days!

Best of luck to you. I'm 3 weeks out, and time has flown by very quickly. It will be done before you know it, and you'll be on your way to losing weight.
  15. I'm 3 weeks out and going back to work full time on Monday. I'm worried because I'm so tired still. I'm getting my fluids and protein. Any other ideas on how to regain strength?

    Any Sleeved Couples out there?

My husband and I are 10 months apart. He was sleeved first. It's working so well for us, wish I could have made it happen sooner.

    Tomorrow is the Day

I had these same fears, but did put my trust in God first, and prayed he would lay his hands over my surgeon's. If you are spiritual, I hope this helps...

    Are you kidding me?

    Congratulations!

    Today's the day

Glad you are doing well. Your journey has just begun. Keep us posted on how you do
  20. Today I had part of a grilled chicken breast that was very dry, but ate it anyway. It was two hours ago and I can still feel like it's stuck in my chest. What do others do when this happens, just wait it out?

    Getting cold feet

I'm almost 3 weeks post op and haven't yet regretted my decision to have the sleeve. The pain was very manageable. I didn't take any pain pills once I came home. The only regrets I've had are not being able to have what I want to eat yet. Overall, I'm happy I finally made a healthy change in my life, and wish I could have done 20 years ago or more.

    WHINING - STALLED

Maybe you're not eating enough and your body is holding on to the excess fat for fuel, and I've heard make sure you get all your protein in. I had stalled already, ate a little more yesterday, and was down a pound this morning.
