  1. Find out why they denied you. My insurance denied me, claiming they were missing my psychiatric evaluation an proof of 90 days with the NUT. They had it. My surgeons insurance coordinator sent my file twice. My surgeon had to call the insurance and they approved me that day. Fight them!
  2. Your family are in my thoughts and prayers

  4. I just took 1 snack cup of the pudding and mixed a tablespoon of powdered peanut butter in it. Gets a bit thick so next time I'm gonna put a couple drops of water in the powdered peanut butter first.

  9. I just mixed sugar free dark chocolate pudding with powdered peanut butter and it tastes like a peanut butter cup.....so yummy!!!!
  10. I was nervous pre op too. I think that's completely normal. ????
  11. I'm a couple days post op and I feel like I'm getting more gassy each day. I'm using the Gas X strips and they seem to help temporarily. I'm up and moving around to help as well. Any suggestions??
  12. Surgery was yesterday morning and I came home this morning. I'm doing well. Some pain and discomfort. Pain meds are fantastic. My new tummy is very swollen so I have to go easy on my liquids but I'm staying hydrated. I'm keeping an ice pack on my bellybutton incision. It's by far the most painful and it's very bruised. I know it'll get better with each day!
  13. Yeah Tylenol doesn't do much for me. I miss my Excedrin! I can't take vitamins without food either or I end up hurling.
  14. My sisters and I either do thanksgiving dinner or Xmas dinner celebration. Luckily we're doing Xmas dinner this year. So I don't have to worry about being around all that food. I don't know about super strong but I am super determined! I worked 3 days last week and am now on medical leave from work. I should be prepping for surgery and post surgery but I've been sleeping a lot. I'll muster up my motivation for that on Monday. LOL
  15. It's definitely not easy being on the pre op diet! I keep reminding myself why I am doing this and it helps for the motivation to keep going. I no longer feel hungry, just tired. I went to my sister's birthday party tonight and was surrounded by tons of food (not easy to do and it smelled so yummy) but I was good. I just kept drinking my flavored water. We're so close and we can do this!!!!
  16. I'm right there with you....getting sleeved on November 19th as well. On my pre op diet. I'm not hangry anymore just tired. Still occasionally headachy but not like the first few days.
  17. Hey Melanie....who's your surgeon at NWWLS? Dr Michaelson is doing mine on November 19th! Been on my pre op diet since Sunday. I won't say it's easy but constantly reminding myself what I'm doing this for helps a lot and drinking a ton of water helps too. I flavor my water with Mio.
