    Exhausted!

My surgeon said it was normal and it would get better with time as long as I was doing what I'm suppose to. I sure hope so, thankfully I'm a stay at home mom right now...I don't know how I would survive work right now.

    Exhausted!

Hi all. I'm 5 weeks post op and completely exhausted. I sleep at night and by the time I get the kids off to school I'm reading to sleep and can sleep all day. I have never been one to sleep late or sleep during the day.....I'm getting my protein, vitamins and water in everyday. Anyone having this problem?? Suggestions??

    Does it get better?

Thank you for all the advice I will definately try more water. I just left my Surgeons office and was given a Thiamine shot for nausea and was told to start taking vitamin B 100 along with my bariatric vitamins. Also my BP is a little high...doc said is was normal due to my body adjusting but went ahead a prescribed hydrochlorizide for now.

    Does it get better?

I'm right at a month out and just feel nauseous, dizzy upon standing, and very fatigued. I finally called my surgeons office and have an appointment this friday. Hope we figure something out. If I do figure anything out I will pass information along. Hope you get to feeling better.

    Not hungry! nothing taste good!

I agree! The never being hungry is great and it is a chore to eat but I'm afraid of not getting enough calories and my body going into starvation mode...eek!#

    Not hungry! nothing taste good!

James Marusek I read your article and it's very informative. The recipes look fairly easy and tasteful. I will most certainly try them. Thank you for responding.
  8. Started 2 week pre-op on January 20 and had RNY on February 3. I'm down 52 lbs...which is great but I'm just not hungry and nothing taste good to me. I'm Making myself eat and drink but it's very unsatisfying and my stomach feels over full most the time. Does this get better over time?

My surgery is February 3rd. I started the 2 week liquid diet on Tuesday and have not been hungry at all. I do the slimfast high protein shake 5 times a day, cup of juice, up to 2 cups broth and all the coffee, tea, crystal light I want. Every bodies pre surgery diet is so different.
