  16. @@TNDOLL There is a lot of great information on here. Welcome to the forum!
  17. @@laguerr13 You are going to do great! Follow the doctors orders and get moving. You are going to lose weight simply due to the fact that you won;t be taking in all those calories, but walking and exercising has made all the difference for me. I hope your surgery went well!! I know the first couple days were a bit rough for me. Congratulations on beginning the rest of your life!!
  18. Thanks for the support and goodwill everyone!! I really appreciate it.
  19. So I have never posted in the forum before. I want to thank everyone who has posted however, as I have found a ton of great information in here on a number of subjects. I had my 6 month post op visit today. My starting weight was 377 lbs on December 15th. As of today, I am down to 229 pounds. I've lost 148 pounds in 6 months!! It's really kind of like a dream most days, it just doesn't seem real. I have definitely put in the work between what I eat and when/how I exercise. I am very proud of that. I still feel like I have another 30-50 pounds to lose, but I also know my body will stop when it is ready. Anyway, I just wanted to share my success with you all. Keep up the great work everyone and don't give up!!

  23. I'm so sorry you are having theses feelings right now. All things in life are only temporary. I hope in 6 months time when you've lost that 30lbs, plus probably a lot more, you may be happy with the decision. It's unfortunate that your DR took advantage of your situation. This is a huge, life changing surgery and it's not anything to rush into. The good news for you if you decide it is worth it, is that your stomach will stretch back out. However, I think once you get used to "normal" portion sizes you may wonder why you ever ate all that food before, when just a taste is enough most of the time. Good luck my friend.
  24. My sleeve was completed on 12/15/14. SW 377, CW = 239, Starting BMI = 57.3, Current BMI = 36.3

  26. I am so sorry you are dealing with this and I feel your pain. I've never had a problem with stones until after my surgery 4.5 months ago. I had them twice in February, once in March, and I awoke with symptoms last night. I seem to be able to handle it with pain meds, but damn this seems to be a horrid side effect. I am trying to increase my Fluid intake. Good luck and I hope you feel better,

  28. It is an activity tracker that you wear on your wrist. I have one and I love it. I have the Fitbit Charge which measures steps, floors climbed, calories burnt (connect to My Fitness Pal to add in food), tracks my sleeping, and has a silent (vibrating) alarm that wakes me in the morning. I love mine!! It motivates me to get my step goals in every day! Let me know if you have any more questions. http://www.fitbit.com/home#i.898ftx1487f3px
  29. Well, I fell just short of my goal of 260. But I'll take 36 pounds in 6 weeks every time. Thanks again for hosting this Susan. Hope you all had a great weekend and I look forward to more challenges!! CW = 263
  30. Hey there I use both. Let me know if you have any questions.
  31. Good morning!! Since my surgery in December it's been coming off like clockwork. I've been losing 5-10 pounds a week. I've had a couple of stalls, but all of a sudden I drop like 5 pounds out of no where. I realize it is going to slow down ( it will slow down...right!?!?). It doesn't appear I will hit my goal of 260 by Easter, but I'm definitely not upset with my progress. Down 5 more pound this week. This journey has been unreal Soooooo happy with my decision to have this surgery. CW = 269
