  1. Wow lady! Thanks! I needed that too. I'm already thinking just protein drinks because I got stuck on Yogurt today . . . how the HECK can that happen? Anyway . . . I think I need to do the detox thing too . . . thanks for the boost!
  2. Hey Mr. James . .. hang in there . . . I got depressed for awhile . . . and had to slap myself in the face and start all over again . . . you can do this . . .you've already PROVEN you CAN do it . . . just start tomorrow as a new day and go for it! Chris
  3. Hey Livin - GREAT job . . .and your scars are almost invisible! Mine are still purpleish - one is fading out . . . but the other 4 are VERY noticeable (not that I'm wearing a bikini so it really doesn't matter lol). Great job . . .keep up the good work!

  5. Chell . . . WAY TO GO WOMAN~! Good for you . . . and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you! It IS sounding promising! Sure hope so for you. Chris
  6. Well I'm going to HOPE we make it through the flights OK! :frown: - or at least don't get bugged until I return home . . .
  7. Well for all you San Diegeans . . . tonight (4-7) is Dr. Mueller's office support group meeting which is open to anyone. It's both bypass and lapband people . . . but a good group. I don't know the address of it . . . just know where it is behind Mary Birch hospital . . . across from the parking garage - the Rehab building . . . but you could call Dr. Mueller's office for the phone number for information!
  8. I'm so sorry to hear about your father . . . many hugs to you! I can't even imagine the trip you had . . . and the scenery . . . I can't wait for Alaska next month . . . settle in . . . good luck with the next fill . . . .and welcome back!
  9. I can just about "diddo" sweetone's comments. I really really really liked his stats . . . I think that was the main reason. Also, I didn't get a fill this past week . . . but I've been losing 5 lbs a month and he likes that rate - so I guess I should stop complaining and just work my band more! Dr. Mueller's office is also organizing some walks for the months of April-July (and the staff will be there too I guess). Monique said there are 3 levels of walking - and it's about two miles. So . . . I signed up! Hope to see some of you there! Chris
  10. WOW WOW WOW . . . EVERYONE is doing GREAT! Who would have thunk it 4 months ago? Wahoo!
  11. Hijack . . . Welcome Back Sghatl! How was your trip? Missed seeing you here!
  12. Wahoo! Doing a GREAT job! Keep it up
  13. GREAT JOB . . .and Fanny is RIGHT . . . you do need a smaller suit! Keep up the GREAT work! Chris
  14. I'm so sorry to hear of your troubles . . . hopefully you heal quickly and are able get back on our band wagon real soon! Take care! Chris
  15. Here are my 4 month out pics .. . slow and steady I guess . . . but sure beats last December 3rd!
  16. Had my appointment with the doctor today - he said the only reason someone would be tighter after flying is if there is air in the tubing. If there is only saline, it can't expand with pressure like air can. He told me not to worry about it. I didn't get an unfill for my cruise . . . because I only have 1.5cc's to begin with . . . I'm thinking I'll be fine . . . and will keep drinking for hydration. Thanks everyone! Chris
  17. Thanks! that's good to know . . . :huh2:
  18. I've read somewhere that some people have trouble with their bands being really tight for a few days after flying. Anyone have any experience with this? Just debating if I should bother with a fill tomorrow (4-3) because I'm flying in May . . . Chris
  19. Oh this band IS great . . . I haven't been terribly bad . . . but wasn't moving or watching my eating as much as I should . . . so now I'm ready again to be doing everything right - and getting at least a little results here and there . . . maybe I'll get a slight fill tomorrow (4-3) . . . we shall see what he says.
  20. You are doing an AMAZING job! Yea you!
  21. When you do the new poll for NEXT month . . . isn't there an option to have the person's name listed in the vote also? That would be kinda cool. Just an idea!
  22. Thanks! I have to type more because it gave me a error message saying you have to have at least 10 characters in a reply . . . lol
  23. The entire month of March was kind of wasted on me . . . I went to my "mandatory" land-based exercise class (through my surgeon's office) . . . and hurt my hip. It took 3 weeks before I even felt well enough to go do Water aerobics again . . . and I generally was getting depressed. Well I gave myself a slap in the face this weekend and told myself to snap out of it . . . and started back at my water aerobic classes . . . and gee . . . the weight is starting to move again (oh who would have guessed that one? lol) . . . so . . . I'm ready to go again . . . I'm going on a cruise in 6 weeks . . . I want some new clothes! :puke: Chris
  24. Well guess what . . . at the gym tonight their scale agreed with my home scale . . . so I think . . . the doctors' little chickie was WRONG That's ok . . .I'll get down there soon!
  25. Went to my PCP today and their scale says 13 lbs LIGHTER than mine! I said "R U SURE????" . . . and the little girl assured me its correct (she didn't use the digital scale). So MAYBE I haven't been as stuck as I thought I was . . . I'll see what the surgeon's scale says on Thursday when I go in (that will be 4 months out for me!) . . . and no more blood pressure meds! YEA! Chris
