  1. I had eggs on day 5. My doc has you on purée before you leave the hospital. Some days I feel like I'll vomit if I have another bite of eggs but they are a protein lifesaver. Stick with the whites or don't eat real eggs every day Bc of the cholesterol and fat contents (according to my NUT).
  2. I'm going to go with a red wine when I get out - low in carbs and not a ton of chemicals.
  3. I just had some peanut butter (which I know I shouldn't have) and I am totally regretting it. I threw it away and I'm not going to do it again. Although I feel badly about it I'm not going to beat myself up over it. Tomorrow is a new day. Try to stay to the plan as much as possible and think about why you strayed. I strayed because I thought I could handle having a tablespoon but I can't. I have an addiction to food. I will never be able to just have a taste of something bad. I have to work to accept it. Good luck to you!
  4. I was starving the first few weeks, then it went away. I was scared I had done the surgery for nothing... Just give it some time.
  5. One gown and some surgical tape to keep it closed.
  6. My doc said at least 95% lean ground beef. I had to look for it but no issues.
  7. Celebrate berry chewable calcium - it's like starburst. I ordered Wellesse but I cannot tolerate it.
  8. @@jess9395 that makes me feel better that your invoices didn't say that.
  9. I was 9 days and miserable! The smooth move tea was my miracle worker. I steeped the tea bag for ten minutes.
  10. It bothers me that the insurance company is being billed $5000 for it. That's outrageous. Those costs come back to the insured in the form of higher premiums. This sounds like the scooter folks who are now serving time for insurance fraud. I'm out.
  11. My fitness pal - 75 -90 g of protein. I'm only 3 weeks out so calorie comparison is irrelevant.
  12. Hi, did anyone else experience their Carafate turning into a gelatinous mass inside the bottle? I know I shook it at least once a day. I have other bottles of it and refills, but I just thought it was odd.
  13. I haven't experienced that yet, but one of my friends who had this done told me that happened to her. I think it's a thing, like the 3 week stall. Happens to a lot of folks.
  14. I am current two weeks post surgery and I am starting a heavy travel schedule for work in another two weeks. My surgeon has no issues with it - he just said to wear compression socks and get up and walk around every once in a while.
  15. Fuzzy navel with the orange vitamin water zero has been a Godsend for me. I also drink the vanilla bean torte with soy milk...that ones good too but just something about the milky ones gets old.
  16. I know this is an older thread, but glad to find it. My libido is out of control. I was getting concerned. Glad to know others are experiencing this.
  17. I haven't really sipped since the first few days. No issues.
  18. Mine got better - I was the same way. Now that I'm two weeks post surgery the hunger has reduced. I wanted to eat everything in sight the first week. Just be patient!
