  1. Hello. Its been quite awhile since I post. I had my surgery March 2015. I'm done 50 plus pounds. I am happy with that, however, I have been at a stall for several months. I am at 186, but I've been at this same weight with fluctuation of 1-3 pounds. I can't seem to get below 184. I have been eating sweets more than I should, but I don't eat a lot. I also took up running. I run at least 3-4 days a week - 4-6 miles on each day. I am beginning to think I've reached my maximum weight loss. Any suggestions to getting back on track? I still want to lose at least 25 more pounds to get to my goal weight. Frustrated with this stall.
  2. Ok. So what I am hearing is ...to lose one must get in 60-70grams of Protein. And 20-40 grams of carbs. And 64 Oz. Of Water a day. Is this right.? I have been stalled for about 3 weeks. The scale is fluctuating between 198 and 197. My goal is 150. I was sleeved on 3/25/15. Surgery weight was 227. I want to lose. I obviously need to change something. But I'm not sure what.
  3. I have not gained any weight, but I am losing very very slowly. It seems like I may never reach my goal. My surgery weight was 227 (3/25/15), I am now at 198. I am stalled right here for about 3 weeks. My goal is 150. What do I need to do? I'm working out 2-3 times a week 45 minutes. I'm eating my Protein (60-75 grams) daily. Drinking Water, but not quite 64 ozs a day. I know I will stall, but I really want to keep the scale moving.
  4. I am told this will get better. I just want to be able to sustain some food for nourishment. I am trying to eat more slowly, because I was a fast eater before, and I always drank with my food. I am really struggling with eating and not drinking, especially when it feels stuck, because the first thing I want to do is drink to make the food go down.
  5. I am 4 weeks out. I can hardly eat anything. I tolerate Protein shakes pretty well (but I am so tired of them). When ever I try to eat any food (pureed), my sleeve can't tolerate. After 1-2 bites either it feels stuck in my chest, or feels like it wants to come back up (and sometimes it does). It seems like I can't get enough calories. I do feel hungry a little, or at least if feels like I need to eat, but I can't. My stomach feels empty, and I feel very tired all day long. Is this normal? Does anyone know how many calories should be consumed to continue to lose weight? I feel like my weight loss is slowing.

    Fatigue

I have been extremely fatigued as well. I am getting about 2 Protein shakes a day, however, I can hardly eat any food. Nothing agrees with me. Most foods make me sick to my stomach. I am having a really hard time. Any suggestions?

    March 2015 Sleevers

I had my surgery on 3/25 and I've only lost 5lbs. I am very disappointed. I thought I would be down more. I sticking to my plan as much as I can. Not hitting my protein goal. I'm only getting in 40gm. Any suggestions?
  8. Finally. I'm sleeved. I spent the last day in pain from gas. It's the worst ever. I do feel better today. Now, I want to sip but it hurts and everything wants to come back up. Any suggestions.? I hope all the other 3/25 sleeves are doing well.
  9. Hello All, Tomorrow is the day! We start our new life! I wish everyone the best! We can do this...we will get through this! God Bless you all!

    Any Georgia Sleevers?

@@mechele8 yes, we can stay in touch while there. I will have my iPad so I will check in once I'm feeling good. I just packed and I am taking about the same as you. My mom is going to stay with me in the hospital. I can't talk her out of it...she is such a worry wart....so I think her staying is more for her than me...lol Anyway, I'll talk to you later. Best wishes with everything, I'll say a prayer for you. Mo

    Any Georgia Sleevers?

@ I have friend who had a gastric bypass with Dr. Hart a few years ago. I heard he was a good surgeon. Johns Creek is way too far for me to travel, especially if there are complications. Good luck to you!

    Any Georgia Sleevers?

@@mechele8 I have to be there at 10:30am, surgery at 12:30pm. Sounds like you may be his first patient of the day. He told me he had surgery all day today and tomorrow. Are you nervous? How did your pre-op go? I'm feeling tired, hungry and weak. I'm working today, but I wish I would have taken the day off. Are you packed? What did you pack?

    Any Georgia Sleevers?

Hello, I am having my surgery tomorrow at Piedmont Hospital. Dr. Kevin McGill. I hope everyone has a good surgery. Let's stay in touch. Mo
  14. Hello Fellow March 25th Sleevers, I am 2 days away. This pre-op has been rough with . I've been trying to stay on track, but I must admit....I am hungry as a hostage! I gotta get through the next 2 days. Yesterday, I spent the day watching TV, and all I saw was food commercials. My gosh....we as people love food! I was thinking, now how am I only gonna eat small portions when food is being pushed in my face all the time. Anyway, on another note...I am feeling nervous and a little scared. I too, am worried about waking up and having complications. I try not to think about it, but it keeps crossing my mind. Has anyone packed for the hospital? I am trying to make sure I got all that I will need. Any suggestions?

    March Sleevers

Hello Everyone, I am 4 days from surgery (3/25). I am struggling with this pre-op diet. I am finding that I need to eat during lunch, but I can do the shake for dinner. Also, I am tired and I have the worst headaches. I plan to do all liquids on Monday and Tuesday. I hope I make it. Had my pre-op appointment. They took blood, chest x-rays, urine sample, and EKG. I plan to pack for the hospital this weekend, and finish shopping for all my food and supplies. I am so ready to get the surgery and begin my new life. Good luck to the rest of you March Sleevers!
