Ok so I tried a sample of the Unjury chocolate splendor with 8oz of low fat milk and a little ice and put it in my ninja and blended it really fine. Is that something I can for after surgery?

If you quit it defines you....get back on your plan and KEEP GOING! I doesn't matter how times one falls but what does matter is one gets back up. You can do this.

I very rarely post before and after pics, but I feel safer doing it here than I do anywhere else. Since I'm only 9 months out (I was sleeved 6-30-14), I consider myself to be a work in progress and not necessarily at my ultimate "after." I've lost 100 pounds, though, and I'm very happy where I am. I'd like to lose a bit more, but if I was told that I had to stay at exactly the weight I'm at now forever, I'd be blissfully happy.

Peppermint gum is my go-to for an unsettled stomach. Also, I drink a lot of herbal tea, chamomile and/or peppermint are great for the tummy as well. Good luck.

I'm 6 weeks post op and just tried Chike coffee Protein Powder last week. Blend it with ice and ff milk. Just like a frappé oh my goodness! 20 grams of Protein. It does have caffeine though. My sleeve Is totally ok with it! I have 1 every other day for my morning protein. I love it!

What is chike coffee and where do you find it? It sounds interesting.
I'm 3 mos. out from surgery and have returned to drinking my morning coffee some mornings, but not every morning. And when I do drink it, I cannot drink all that I prepare and was used to drinking pre-surgery. I, too, use the unjury Protein powders and make a variety of flavored shakes, one being a combination of vanilla powder, chocolate splendor, skim milk and a little brewed coffee for a mocha flavor.

I love Chike!! I make mine with unsweetened almond milk...and sometimes add some SF Syrup (like Torani chocolate, caramel, etc). I ordered extra from Amazon last time so I won't run out!!

Ok so I've stayed away from coffee even though my surgeon allows it. Just didn't taste the same as pre-surgery. Ordered the Chike coffee after a recommendation and made an iced coffee this morning and oh my goodness -yummy ????. I've been using Unjury and Jay Robb Protein Powder. This is very yummy too!

You own your success with the sleeve: not the surgeon, not the PCP, and sure as heck not the statistics.
    You've got this!

Who cares what she thinks? You get your sleeve tomorrow! You can be the person that shows your PCP that all of her preconceptions are wrong and in doing so make it much easier for her other patients who are just like you and are equally frustrated by her lack of education on the matter.

Do you know that kiddie song?
"do your ears hang low, do they wobble to and fro, can you tie'em in a knot, can you tie 'em in a bow, can you throw'em over your shoulder like a continental soldier, do your ears hang low"
Substitute boobs for ears and you got me ????

Let me start off by saying I don't keep pictures of my old "self" so when my mom sent me this picture from thanksgiving I was shocked at how much my face has actually changed in this process. I knew it would but when you do a side by side it's pretty inspiring to keep up the motivation! 60 more lbs to go!!!

hco7416 reacted to PirateGirl in what is YOUR favorite pureed/soft food stage dish?
I'm in the soft foods stage and I'm loving my crustless quiche. I made this pre-surgery quite often. From my calculations it has 12g of Protein per serving (makes 9 servings).
    Crustless Quiche
12 oz. low fat cottage cheese
    3 well beaten eggs
1 package frozen broccoli (10 oz microwave steam in bag kind)
1/2 c. shredded cheese (I use Colby Jack)
    1/2 c. frozen chopped onions
6 oz. mini chopped ham cubes
    6 oz. jar mushrooms, drained
    Salt and pepper to taste
Cook broccoli according to package directions then chop into very small pieces (I use a hand chopper or my mini food processor). Mix all ingredients together and pour into an 8x8 glass baking dish. Bake at 350 for 45 to 1 hour (until firm).
You may use other veggies or meats than those listed. It is very versatile. I often use the Jimmy Dean pre-cooked turkey sausage (though haven't tried it since surgery). I have never frozen it before but will probably try that, as it would take me 2 weeks to eat 9 servings and I don't want to waste it. It's too yummy!

Hi all, I was sleeved on Monday 1/19. It has taken me a few days to feel better, when I came home I was in a lot of pain from the gas and IV Fluid. I made my husband hide the scale because I know I'm still bloated. I'm on a liquid diet for 2 more weeks. I can only get about 48 oz of liquid in at this point. Just made a big pot of chicken Soup and vegetable stock so hopefully that will help as I cannot tolerate Water I've been reading this forum for the past few months whiled I prepared for my surgery and have learned so much. Excited to be a part of the January group!

I was sleeved on Monday. I'm on full liquids for 4 weeks. When I was making my shakes with milk I was having terrible pains the second I swallowed the smallest sip. Did not have that problem with plain Water. Switched to almond milk and the pain and spasms have subsided. I think I may have issues with lactose. Been getting in about 55 oz of Fluid counting my fluids from the shakes. About 60 g of Protein.< /p>
