  1. Our digestive track is different and so is the acid in our pouch. Which could make the pills dissolve or go through your track faster because of the way the RNY is made.
  2. So, did you have your surgery?
  3. See, that is what I have been thinking. I have had a terrible time over the years after surgeries getting the pain controlled. I do see one who I get injections in my neck and back for. Hmm, I haven't asked this question. The Pain Doctor doesn't prescribe Tramadol (they won't prescribe any) any my PCP prescribes it. I will be making some calls tomorrow. My Gastric Doc is in another state, in fact in a different practice that I had my surgery in. I don't have a new Gastric Doctor where I live.
  4. Does anyone have issues with pain medication not lasting as long as it is supposed to? I take Tramadol for pain in my hips, hands, back and neck. This is a question I have not been able to find an answer to. The PCP acts like it should be enough. Yes, it does take my pain away, but not the full 6 hours. Anyone else in this boat?
  5. Love to try these!
  6. I was diabetic. It was my surgeon that suggested RNY would be a better option as it’s better for diabetics.
  7. Now that we are way over 2 years, how is everyone doing?
  8. I hate Mirena. I have had it in 6 weeks and gained 6.6 pounds! I am having it removed today.
  9. I am over 2 years out. So, after surgery and on maintence.
  10. I am over two years out RNY. I no longer live near my surgeon. The new surgeon, I am not fond of as I don't feel he wants to follow my since he didn't do my surgery. I am in a bind due to my insurance. Anyhow, I am feeling off and think I should have labs done. I can't find in my original paperwork, when and what lab tests.
  11. I love food like thid.
  12. Anyone have a feeding tube placed due not eating and malnutrition? What was involved and how long did it stay in?
  13. I know this is an old topic, but relevant to me. I have super skinny arms, excess skin on belly and thighs. Breast, well, they are a mess.
  14. You have to remember, I am dealing with some issues with terrified of gaining weight, even though, my surgeon, Nutritionist, Counselor, family, co-workers etc, say, I need to. I've traded one battle for another.
  15. i don't like milk. I do like other dairy though like cheese, ricotta, cream cheese etc.
  16. Because, I hate milk. Never could stand it.
  17. Nope. I had my surgery 14 months ago. I'm 5 ft 4 and down to 110 pounds. I'm in the basement of my BMI. My surgeon wants me st 140. Nutritionist and Bariatric Counselor want me to get to 125-128ish.,
  18. I need suggestions on transporting Protein shakes back and forth to work. I have to drink 5 shakes a day. Can you mix powder milk with the Protein Powder and then add cold Water at work? Or would I be better off buying a thermos large enough to carry three to work? I don't want to take a 1/2 gallon of almond milk to work with me. We have fridges, but everyone in the building uses them. Pre-made Protein Shakes are a lot more expensive. That is why I have switched to powder.
