  1. Don't mind at all! The first 2 years my period was heavier & my cramps were worse, but it has steadied out since then. My doctor told me that it can be like they sometimes. It was worth it, though. I love that there are no hormones.
  2. I have a copper iud & love it. It doesn't put out any hormones at all, so if you have super irregular periods it may not be for u. If you're like me & don't do well with hormones though, it's the best contraceptive ever.
  3. I'm not to actual food stage yet; but, I will be there byValentines Day, and I want to make grilled shrimp skewers. How did y'all do with shrimp after surgery? Did it go down ok?
  4. This was so wonderful to read. I can't wait to be where you are. Congratulations!!!!
  5. I've heard of it happening from so many people! Here's my question: Does it occur right away or can it take a few weeks or even longer to happen? I'm just over 2 weeks post-op, and I kind of feel like my taste is changing..
  6. U look great!! Hope I look this good 5 months out!
  7. You look do wonderful & so healthy & fit!! Congratulations! So glad you decided to share your story!
  8. I was sleeved 12/31.. At my 1 week post op I was down 12lbs, but I haven't weighed since. I'll weigh again on the 21st. Feeling really good though! Finally lol! Haven't slipped up once, and I have 8 more days of liquids. I'll be real happy when I get to the mushy stage! I was having SUPER bad cravings, but in the last 2 days they are seeming to go away. Thank. God.
  9. I think they can take up to 31 days to approve... That's what they told me when I was waiting. Mine only took 2 weeks, though. I have United Health Care- Choice Plus
  10. I've only used Unjury so far just because I like it a lot. The chocolate is really good, & I use the unflavored in everything. I put it in soups, pudding, yogurt. I even made protein pops with it tonight. I'm going to get the chicken soup flavor tomorrow & see how that is.
  11. I only told the people I'm utterly comfortable with & my boss. Definitely didn't blast it over Facebook or anything. Everyone I've told has been super supportive. There were people in my life who I knew would be negative, so I didn't tell them & probably never will. I think it is such a private personal thing, & you should really think hard about each & every person you tell.
  12. I told my friends & family not to come see me. There was no way I wanted them to see me like that. I'm real happy I did, too. I was pretty incoherent & miserable right after lol. I even cried a tiny bit. However, I have the pain tolerance of a 2 year old.... So, there's that. After the first night, though, I was MUCH better! The next day I cat napped a lot & even painted my nails before they discharged me. You'll do great, & that night will go by fast for you!
  13. I'm 8 days post op & on full liquids until the 21st. I've been doing great... But I NEED something new!!! I've been having the norm- broths, sugar free Popsicles, etc. a friend said I could strain egg drop soup, just so I can have something different. Is this okay to do? I'd probably only of it once then be good for a week again.
  14. Yay!!! That's so awesome!!!
  15. So happy for you!!!!
  16. This may sound gross, but buy them in a size 6 or 7 & if they don't fit return them. They will just damage them out, so they won't be resold or anything....I remember being a size 7 when I was in a 14pant, if that helps.. But I've always kinda had a bubble butt.
  17. So, I'm only 5 days post op, & I wouldn't dare weigh right now. But, I was wondering how often do some of y'all weigh? Weighing has always been a hard thing for me. I've gotten super discouraged in the past, so much so, that'd I would only weigh once every couple weeks or once a month. I know that this surgery is a game changer though, so how often should I weigh?
  18. I want to be able to wear cropped tops and cut off shorts. Lol but this is my Valentina's Day goal dress
  19. Thanks guys! I'm on day 4 now, & this morning I was feeling okay. Still in pain but it was easier to get around. I think I may have over done it, though, b/c tonight has been terrible. Luckily, my husband was home from work early and he was able to help me get up & down... I know it'll get better. Every day has been so far. It's just taking time. I've been putting the unflavored Unjury in almost everything, & that's really helping me with the protein intake. I'm not quite to the amount of water I need, but I feel like tomorrow I'll be able to hit it.
  20. Got my sleeve yesterday afternoon, and the night was rough for me. Lots of pain and dry heaving, despite the anti nausea patch & medicine. My question: how many days did it take some of y'all to really start feeling good?
  21. My favorite is chocolate Unjury. It's not thick at all the way other mixes are, and it taste like chocolate milk when I add it with skim milk!
  22. I'm getting mine on December 31st and I am SO nervous... I'll probably take a Valium before & be good to go though! Lol
