    Okay! Today is the day! My surgery is at 1:30. Pretty excited! It felt like it took forever to get here but holy crap!

    I am up late getting my things ready. My surgery is in a few hours. I have to be at hospital at 6am. I guess I am too excited to sleep. I will be so glad to get this done so I can start my new life. I will sen all of you a message as soon as I can. Wish me luck.

    When I was in the liquid phase I did a lot of the crystal light shakes -- to get rid of the gritty consistency if you stir and all the foam if you blend it, I would put it in my nutribullet in the morning, and then leave it in the fridge for a few hours. After sitting in the fridge for that long, the foam is gone and the drink is a good smooth consistency. Good Luck!

    I use half of a bottle of Isopure, mixed with 12oz G2, or crystal light. I drink on that all day, adding ice periodically.

    It might be better if OP would plan 5 small but nutritious meals. This way you don't morph from snacking to grazing and by planning you can at least make smarter food choices. If that's how your body works, there's no need in fighting it, just make it work for you.

    Started last June and two surgeons, two states and three insurances later I'm scheduled March 30th. Over that time I've given up carbinated drinks, fast food and junk food. Joined the gym and do a Protein Drink for breakfast every day. Ordered bunches of sample shakes and Vitamins. Bought a vitamix and a vacuum sealer. I'm ready for pre-op and no fears of surgery. Nervous about the life changing afterwards but it's full stream ahead! So glad for these forums.

Joined the gym and do a Protein Drink for breakfast every day. Ordered bunches of sample shakes and Vitamins. Bought a vitamix and a vacuum sealer. I'm ready for pre-op and no fears of surgery.     @@cockapoomom I had lentil Soup with the lentils and veggies on Thursday..... I had the worst head cold and was stuck at work for 16 hrs and couldn't imagine trying to muster energy with nothing for my body to break down. I swear we all do it - some just make it seem like it's unheard of lol

    I can relate to OP's dilemma! I can't eat more than a few bites of meat Protein then feel stuffed. But an hour later I'm hungry again. And keeping it real I will fill up on the snack food because it feels good to eat something and not feel stuffed after a few bites. I'm 6 months out. I have been trying to deal with this recently so that I don't end up in trouble eating carbs and junk food all day. What has been helping me is having a Premier Protein shake in the morning after my coffee -- 30 g of protein in me and I feel full for a long time - I need to sip it over an hour or so because it will give me a stomach ache if I just drink it down. According to my NUT, I should not be having shakes this late in the game, but I'm doing what works. Dannon Light and Fit Greek Yogurt (80 calls/12 g protein) is also a good snack and has good flavor choices. And I love the Cabot 50% cheddar cheese in the individual servings (50 calories, 5 or 6 g protein I think). Just offering what works for me because I think at this stage in the process we all need variety -- I know the above things work for me but I get sick of having them all the time and that's why I've been reaching for the Doritoes/cookies/other horrible choices.     I eat real oatmeal as in rolled oats. It has 13gms of protein in ½cup . It is also a good source of Fiber which means you may not get constipated. It does contain carbs. Have it for breakfast and as long as you are fairly active throughout the day you should be fine. I prepare mine with Water, and season with vanilla Protein Powder and add a teaspoon of dried cranberries.
    You can also make overnight oatmeal by mixing with Greek yogurt, and seasonings and let it sit overnight. This is great if you are often on the go as you can prepare it the night before and just grab & go in the morning.

    @@shahada - If you have a Protein powder you like try adding that to your oatmeal. It will increase the amount of Protein you are getting for the day. I use plain unflavored that I can mix into everything. Try adding black Beans, lentils or even quinoa to your salad. They are also good sources of protein. Greek yogurt is also a good source of protein. I buy FAGE 0%.

    This year is for me! This year I am taking care of myself. Today is my birthday and in 3 days I am getting surgery to change my life! This is my birthday gift to myself! We all should be so proud of the choice we have made! Don't let people tear you down or make you feel like you are "taking the easy way out!" Believe in yourself!! I look forward to taking this journey with all of you!

    Good Morning All the March sleevers we are all going on a journey as i like to call a journey of a new me and a new you. I'm scared to death because we hear horror stories and some great ones also. I decided to take my journey with the good the bad and the indifferent because as i keep repeating someone told me to think of it as a skinner and healthier you. We all have thoughts that throw us off but this site was created so we all could be in the know and support each other. Lets keep doing that. I'm March 30th my date is after all of you so guys please keep me posted on your journey....
