  2. I had my surgery on Monday, March 9. It was a lot easier than I had imagined. But I am a worrier. My surgeon also repaired a hiatal hernia. When I got to my room I was having some pain from the hernia. They gave me some pain medicine. After that I have had very little pain. I have 5 small incissions. I havenot been nausiated at all. I know everyone is different and our bodies react differently. I came home today. Overall I would say it was a lot less stressful than I thought it would be. I have a little soreness but that is expected. Not bad for a 66 year old woman. Nurses and staff were awesome. So trust in your Dr and hospital staff. I only hope all of you have as good an experience ad I did.
  3. I am up late getting my things ready. My surgery is in a few hours. I have to be at hospital at 6am. I guess I am too excited to sleep. I will be so glad to get this done so I can start my new life. I will sen all of you a message as soon as I can. Wish me luck.
  4. My surgery is just 3 days away. I am excited and scared. I know everything will be fine. I finish my 14 day pre opt diet on Saturday. Then I have to do liquids only for Sunday. Surgery is scheduled for 8 am so I have to be there at 6 am. Keep posting all these encouraging messages. They really help.
  5. My surgery is March 9 at 8 am. I had my pre opt on Friday. I am on my second week of pre opt diet. I am getting anxious. I am ready to start a new phase of my life. I have been reading a lot of the success stories. They are very encouraging. For others being sleeved in March I wish you well and a lot of success. It will be worth all the hard work we have been tbrough.
  6. I am scheduled for my sleeve surgery on March 9. I appreciate all the support from this forum. It helps to hear from those who have already had surgery and those who are in the process.
  7. I know exactly how you feel. I just got my surgery date a couple of days ago. I will have gastric sleeve surgery on March 9. I start my pre opt diet on Monday, Feb 23. After several months of nutrition classes and other preperations I now know when my new life begins. I am excited and nervous. But there is no turning back for me. Just straight ahead, one day at a time.
