So I'm excited to announce that the date has been set for my WLS. I'm excited...and though I wasn't scared a month ago, I think some hesitation has set in being that I've never had any type of surgery before. What are some tools that you used to assist with nervousness?

I know exactly how you feel. I just got my surgery date a couple of days ago. I will have gastric sleeve surgery on March 9. I start my pre opt diet on Monday, Feb 23. After several months of nutrition classes and other preperations I now know when my new life begins. I am excited and nervous. But there is no turning back for me. Just straight ahead, one day at a time.

Journal your reasons for getting the surgery.

Then make a wish list or, as I called mine, "I will..." of all the things you'll do when the weight comes off.

Look at my stats. If you could see your future self 11 months out I promise you, pure joy would replace fear!
