  1. What can you do to stop it? It sounds quite yucky.....
  2. Yummy eggs.....two more days to go here, I am really looking forward to having them for breakfast. I am so over soup it is not funny. I hate to be uneducated but what does PB mean? I have seen it mentioned all the time. Can someone suggest any other nice mushy meals I can have
  3. Hey Jessiebear, Well done, you have started a wonderful new part of your life. I quit smoking last year and have experienced the benefits of not getting chest infections this year, and loving having so much money left over, I now have really nice shoes and clothing, instead of yucky smokey clothes. My b'f loves to snuggle in now and it doesn't affect his asthma. Keep up the good work. Suzii
  4. Why don't we create a channel on MIRC, which is a chat program, we can all log into the same server, create a channel #lapband and go from there
  5. Hey everyone, I was just banded on the 14th September, four days ago. All went well and I would love to keep in contact with other september bandsters alike. To everyone yet to be banded Good Luck
  6. 4 more sleeps ..... I am getting so excited.... even sorted out my medication today Suzii
  7. I would make sure your dr can refer you to another surgeon for a follow up as it is a partnership between you, your band & your surgeon, other than that I would personally take the opportunity for the surgery but would see if I could postpone my holiday, most travel agents are ok if suitable notice is given. just think what happens if your band slips whilst you are away from suitable care, and other complications. that would be what I would do but follow your heart its your life and your choice. *hugs* Suzii
  8. *lol* I already suffer from wind when I have too much lactose, it gets uncomfortable, I will have to get some de-gas or something like that.... I just remembered some gluten free soups I can get, but I have trouble finding them in the supermaket. I will get my dad and b/f to search for me. I need to get a new pillow anyways so I will use the old ones support....is it uncomfortable to sleep after? Suzii
  9. Thanks mollymolly... I've got panadine which is a suitable painkiller and soluble but it tastes disgusting. I wouldn't have thought of the popsicles thanks Suzii
  10. Hi, I am to be banded this wednesday and want to be as prepared as possible for when I come home, I have a few home-made soups prepared, what else can I have in preparations.... I have got a protein supplement, sorted vitamins, I have a juicer so that should be ok..... what else do I need for when I come home? Please Help Suzii
  11. Hi to all my soon to be fellow bandsters, five more days to go until I go under and come out on the other side. I am getting quite nervous and excited all at the same time. If anyone has any suggestions on the liquid stage, please feel free to share your experiences. Hope all is well Suzii
  12. Hey, I am getting really nervous, not questioning my decision but just really nervous about surgery. I am scared of pain, and have never had anything this major. I have been on the Optifast for two weeks and have lost 7.4kgs, I go in on the 14th of September 2005. I know this is prolly normal but all I can think about is the operation, I can't wait but on the same token I am scared Sh&tless....please tell me this is normal and it doesn't hurt too much *hugs* Suzii
  13. I'm up for that but can we consider other timezones ie Australia? *hugs* Suzii
  14. can someone elaborate on crockpot cooking? is it the same as slow cooking?
  15. Thanks for the advice, I was told the same thing by my dietician that it doesn't matter about the calories for the first few weeks as we are healing and all. I haven't been banded yet but I too am a compulsive scale freak, something I will have to get over .
