Great job everyone. I started at 209lbs and hovering around 162lbs for 2 weeks. I feel great. Dowm from size 16 to size 10.
This waa best decision I made. My physician is very pleased with my progress. Notice Hair loss the past few weeks. Not really concerned. I am craving for crunchy or salty in evenings but not hungry at all. Taking all my Vitamins. Know I should be getting at least 20 oz of Protein Drinks into my diet. Family extremely supportive. Challenging to eat out without wasting food or making so obvious to other couples or friends why Im not eating much.

If you can take a few weeks. Your body needs the rest. You can adapt to your new routine, exercise, nutritional guidelines and liquid intake. You dont realize how tired your body will get during the day. My original plan was 2 weeks off and work remote 2 weeks. Right after surgery i decided to take full 6 weeks. Having the sleeve wsd the best decision I've ever made. Listening to my body abd taking the time to recover was the 2nd best decision. I recommend it 100%. I too have a management position that in most cases is a desk job with 7 hrs of meetings a day lots of stress and fast pace. All of which is not conducive to a successful healing. In addition to my sleeve i also had hietal hernia repair. I have had zero complications. Also the time gave me time to deal with all post op without having to field questions from folks in the office. I decided to keep personal business to myself and husband. You will have so many dynamics and changes going on. Good luck

Pray.. feel confident and embrace this new journey. It will be one of the best decisions you ever made. Remember it's a tool and follow the doctors and nut directives. Also this journey is yours you own it. You can't focus on others and how they feel what they do or don't do. Good luck.

    How is everyone doing?
I'm assuming most the people out there loving their sleeve has moved on from the forum, so I thought I would purposefully come back and post an update.
    Pain - Non existent..
Excercise - Just got cleared to excercise. Started with a couch 2 5k program yesturday. I loved running before the sleeve. It was hard to hold myself back to running only 60 seconds at a time.
food - I can pretty much eat anything.. But some things just aren't worth it.. Red meat sits hard and heavy in the stomach.. So I try to limit that. I've only had three throwing up experiences since I got sleeved. And none of them were from food. I switched from Prilosec to Pepcid.. And that was a mistake.. Three times though is all it took for me to figure it out. It also allowed me to get off all antacids..
Vitamins and pills - Still take double chewable multi and double Calcium caltrate. B12, BComlex are once a day. Hypertension medicine still once a day, but off the metformin for good now.
As for how much I'm eatting... I usually stick with 4 - 5 ounces of protein.. And then will throw about 4 ounces of what else is there (Potatoes, Veggies, Pasta).. Finish all the Protein then try to make it thru half of the other stuff until I'm full, but not uncomfortable.
Weight loss has been extraordinary.. Had a couple of stalls, but usually the weeks after the stalls the weight just falls off.. I've also noticed the stalls relate more to my sodium and Water intake than anything else.. So if I keep drinking my water(Crystal Light Lemonade) and reduce the amount of pasta/potatoes/etc.. It falls right back off fast..

The same thing happened to me this past week. It was very frustrating. I increased my actual Water intake and for 2 days most of my intake was Clear Liquids. Also realized I had not taken my probiotic for almost a week.
This morning I was down 3lbs..

caramel6 reacted to AJ-NC in Do you tell people you had Weight Loss Surgery?
I am 8 months post op and have only told 2 people about my surgery (my husband and my child). I decided that I didn't want to tell anyone else, including any other immediate family. I am currently down 121 pounds, and when people comment on my weight loss, I am honest with them. I tell them that I am eating less and moving more and that I am making smarter, healthier choices with my food. None of which is a lie - I simply leave out the part about my surgery. The surgery is simply a tool in your journey and you are still the one doing the hard work. Good luck on your journey - and remember, you don't have to tell anyone that you don't want to tell.
