It isn't easy to take resposibility for youself, and your own well-being, I have made some progress by sharing my feelings with other sleevers, and now feel that wls is not a cure but that it has has given me an improved opportunity for well-being.
The alternatives for me were to become increasingly less able, and accept the prospect of a very early death.
