  4. Accepting responsibility for myself seems to be a daily challenge, group therapy with other sleevers and 'buddies' have been helpful and sometimes inspirational.
  5. It isn't easy to take resposibility for youself, and your own well-being, I have made some progress by sharing my feelings with other sleevers, and now feel that wls is not a cure but that it has has given me an improved opportunity for well-being. The alternatives for me were to become increasingly less able, and accept the prospect of a very early death.

  7. 10 days post op, seems to have gone like a dream, totally painless, best advice in hospital - take very small sips, best advice from forums - walk, walk, walk.
  8. Sleeved on the 4th Dec, a totally painless experience, 4th day home and blood sugar seems to be stable around 6.5 unmedicated, it is early yet but feels great, not really interested in food, but i do enjoy the liquids. I have had type 2 since 2007 so it looks good atm. Best advice i had was from another sleeved patient who advised me to take only half-teaspoon sized sips after the op. Best advice from the forum was to walk, walk, walk. All good wishes to those about to start.
  9. Dec 4th for me anyone else in December?
