  1. Rica, I am so sorry. My DH and I have been through this for 23 years now. We are now in the process of adopting a 9 year old little boy named Josh. Don't ever give up hope. God has a way of working even when we don't think He is. Sending prayers and hugs your way. Julie = )
  2. I take 150 mg. of Effexor and will never go off of my happy pills. = )
  3. Hi, My Doc. never uses an x-ray. We always seem to get it just right though.
  4. I can't eat chiken anymore either. I've tried all kinds with all kinds of "goo" and still it gets stuck every time, so I've crossed it off of my list of foods not to eat. Good luck to you! = ) P.S. I was losing slow for a while but have picked up just recently. I haven't changed my ticker but I am now down to the 2's = ) 294.0.
  5. Hi SleepyJean, Yes. I've read the book. It's very good and has good suggestions. It was written by a woman who had the Lapband surgery. I found it very helpful in deciding wether or not to have LB surgery. My two cents: it's a good read. = )
  6. Hi Kare, I got my CD -- worked out with it. Love it!!! Of course I couldn't make it all on the first try. LOL = ) Thanks for sending this out. Merry Christmas! Duckie = )
  7. Way to go!! You go girl!! I had my first fill a couple of weeks ago and have not budged a teeny bit according to the scale. I think I need a second fill. At any rate you enjoy your loss -- we are all proud of you!
  8. Congratulations, to the both of you!! Here's to your health!
  9. Beth, Congratulations!!!!!!
  10. Hi Loulou, I've been exactly where you are. For my own sanity I had to quit - I couldn't take it anymore and felt I would be a failure if I stayed in that much of an unhealthy situation. I would write a letter to the HR Dept. (my office was just the owner, one other co-worker, and me, so no HR to turn to). But I would still leave. You owe it to yourself. Here's a suggestion - take it for what it's worth.........if you don't have to work, why not go back to school for something else? What do you have a passion for? Once you find your passion - go for it!! Anyway, I say you are more important than any job! Take care of you!
  11. Judy, I did as you are doing.............STOP!! I didn't know about this site before or I would have stopped. I did lose 20 pounds prior to surgery, however, my liver was still so enlarged on the date of surgery that when they went to move it, it cracked and started to bleed. I had to stay in the hospital overnight for observation and the surgery lasted a lot longer than was planned. I must confese this scared the heck out of my husband and parents. Thanks for letting me share.
  12. I am so so very sorry to hear about your brother. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
  13. Just GO FOR IT!! You are doing this for you not for your friend.
