  1. One month out only 16lbs down. Constantly constipated, no weight loss in 2 weeks. Lots of meds to make me go, no dairy at all. Still having sharp isolated pain when I cough, sneeze or turn over. No energy, no desire to eat cause I know it's just clogging me up.....and the list goes on and on....not to mention depressed!
  2. @@msjoy1967 I feel ya....I am on soft foods and I still prefer drinking my meals. I cook for my family but leave the kitchen as soon as I can.
  3. I use the complete with iron. My NUT had me taking 4 a day.
  4. Use a straw...it saved me when I had to drink 2 bottles.
  5. I get the tropical flavored ones at Walmart. They are in a clear generic looking bag.
  6. I had GB last month and my Dr takes out your gall bladder as a precaution.
  7. I'm 18 days out and my advice is don't go against your Dr's plan. I started purred food yesterday and pushed the envelope a little and had a soft food and threw up right away.....not plesent at all.
  8. Excited that I get to start pureed foods tomorrow! I need a little variety....lol I'm healing well and have my post op next friday, but going back to work on Monday. Surgery was 3/25.
  9. I'm in the same boat...15 days post RNY. Nothing tastes good. Having to force the protein in.
  10. Don't worry, while I was in the hospital I thought I was gonna die. My bladder was slow to start and didn't pass gas till I got home. But it does get better. I'm 14 days out
  11. I had Gastric bypass 3/25 and am getting married 8/1/15. Having surgery 4 months before getting married kinda freaked me out because I already bought my dress, but my fiance said we can get a new one :-)
  12. I came home from the hospital 19lbs heavier.....but from reading the posts about it I expected a gain and it took a week to get back to my surgery weight.
  13. Drink it through a straw....I used a tervis cup straw and was able to down all 10 ozs at once. I ended up having to drink a 2nd bottle so the straw definitely helped.
  14. Glad you're feeling ok!
  15. I know I'm 10 days out and a basket case! I cry at the drop of a hat and go from happy to sad to happy to mad in 10 seconds or less. Hoping this ride stops soon before my family commits me.....lol
  16. Been in my bed since the first night but propped up on 4 pillows....hurts to lay flat or on my sides still. I only sleep about 2 hours at a time for some reason. Sorry to hear of your abscess hope all heals well.
  17. Glad to hear you are doing ok! I'm 9 days out and still a little uncomfortable at times, but headed to Universal Studios tomorrow, so I know I will be worn out. How did you like the staff at Tampa general? I thought they were amazing!
  18. My NUT gave me the suggestion while on purred food to use a cream soup like cream of chicken and add baby food chicken. She said once u blend it together u would never know it had baby food in it. I'm working up my brain to try it when I switch to purred.....lol
  19. Congrats and love the tats :-)
  20. One of my favs
  21. I had my gall bladder removed along with having my gastric bypass. My Dr said he wanted to be pro active, that he knew I would have to have it removed in the near future so why cut on me twice :-)
  22. I use the dannon greek yogurt and add Isopure for a whooping 37grams total. It's good for 2 of my mini meals on full liquids.
  23. 3/25 here, so I'm a week out. Still quiet sore but tolerable. Coughing is what's rough for me. I'm still on full liquids till the 11 and post op is the 17th. But really hoping to go back to work before then. My WTH day was day 4 and I cried all day nothing could make me feel better.
  24. Yeah I get this extreme bloated feeling after about an ounce....
