  2. Really interesting read....had some major flashbacks :-) I am headed in this morning for the required EGD. Wishing you all well, have a great week!
  3. I've had a fitbit flex for over a year...love it.

I have had my flex for almost a year and a half. Love that it is light and smaller than most bands. I can see my progress on my phone as I have it with me 24/7. I haven't had any problems with it at all.
  5. My surgeon said I had no choice but to get RNY, because of Barretts.
  6. @@Lakelandgirl are you from Lakeland FL??
  7. Tentative date March 11....but having an EGD done on the 3rd so thinking I may be pushed out a little further into March...wasn't told to start my 2 week liquids yet. Never thought I'd be excited about a liquid diet!
  8. Insurance approval, check!!!!! Date will be given pending EGD results! EGD scheduled for 3/3. Hoping for a March surgery date!
  9. Was told by the surgeon today that RNY should clear it up :-) Bonus!
  10. Met with Dr. Murr this morning, I'm so impressed! He was super nice and straight to the point. I am having my egd done on the 3rd of March. They will schedule surgery after they get the results!! Almost there!!!!
  11. I've told just about everyone I have daily contact with. For me it was better to let it out than have all the speculation about how I will be dropping weight so fast. I have yet to have any negative comments. :-)
  12. Yes he will schedule my EGD. I'm so looking forward to meeting him. Hoping to get my surgery date thurs too.
  13. Meeting with the surgeon this Thursday. Hoping to get my date!! All I know they are wanting before hand is an EGD.
  14. I have Barretts Esophagus also and was told RNY was my only option.

I've had my fitbit for almost 2 years....they replaced it after a year because it stopped charging. Great customer service! I have the flex and can't even tell that I'm wearing it anymore :-)

  17. I have done tons of research. I am done with all my tests. And I'm in a pilot program at work so I didn't have to do anything with insurance.
  18. I too have no underlying health issues. Good luck on your journey. I am meeting my surgeon on Thursday to get my date!

  21. So glad I don't have to deal with the insurance part of it. I will keep my fingers crossed that they let you get the tests that you need.
  22. I was picked for a pilot program at my work, so I am one of the lucky ones that did not have to do the 6 months of food and diet stuff. All I have had to do is provide the dr.s office with my records and do all the required tests. I know that if I had to do the 6 months of supervised diet that I would have lost some but not enough to be denied. I have a hard time losing when I'm doing everything right.
  23. Great to meet y'all, I get to meet Dr. Murr next week. I am beyond excited. All my tests are done and I've attended all required meetings. Hoping he will be quick with a date.
