  1. @@RILEYSMOM22 - you are a "Four Season" sister! I have "Walk Like A Man" (March 1963)
  2. @@ava32 - I liked Dollys version, but like you, I get goose bumps when I hear Whitney's version :/
  3. I have been dealing with this before surgery 5/2015 and since WLS it seems to have gotten worse. I was up at 11;56 last night - never went back to sleep.
  4. @@gpmed - It was pointed out earlier on another post about eating your Protein first. I eat a salad at times with grilled chicken/protein. The OP pointed out that the denser protein should be ate first (nothing else) then the rest of the salad. The idea is that it will make you feel fuller and you won't be as hungry. For Example :I would eat a bite of protein, then maybe a bite or two with the salad, then a bite of just protein. I have stalled the past couple of weeks and I am going to go back to eating like I did post-op. Protein (measured out) and then see if I can get a bite of anything else in (which I doubt).
  5. @@Kristin7676 - great job! Be prepared for stalls...may have to hide the new scale :/
  6. @@jennaggie - just like the OP said follow your doctors orders and try to stay positive. The "buyers remorse" is pretty typical for most and the hormone flush along with a major shift in eating just multiplies the feeling. Keep moving, stay hydrated try to get the Protein requirements set forth by your doctor and in a couple of weeks this will pass. Stay off the scale until you see the doctor, because it can be frustrating those first few weeks.
  7. @@sassyfrass23 - YiPPEEeeeeEeeee! let us now when you get your "date"
  8. @@CowgirlJane - I am going to eat the Protein first and then the salad! It makes sense, glad you brought that up! @@Daisee68 - great post~ Jane
  9. @@ccr73 - if you are approaching your late thirties it could be an early menopause symptom
  10. I agree 100% with @@LipstickLady I made my decision based on the same, exact reasons - NO regrets at all.
  11. @@Babbs - "Walk like a man" by the Four Seasons (March 1963)
  12. @@VSGAnn2014 - ((((hug)))) praying for your hubby and you!
  13. @@Sharon1964 - ROTFLMAO! Whiskey. Tango. Foxtrot. @@jenn1 - and again "laying them out on a plate to be pressed will be a piece of cake" - the visual... Unfortunately ladies I have dealt with multiple pics needing to be done because of the size of "the girls". A man had to have developed this process because, r-e-a-l-l-y???? I love the phrase the tech says and your flattened and standing on your tiptoes "take a deep breath and don't move." Whiskey. Tango. Foxtrot. where can I go???? My breast is being flattened to a 1 inch thickness between the "jaws of unhappiness" and you think I can go somewhere?
  14. Pre-Buyers Remorse??? You are pretty typical :/ Common response a couple of months out??? WISHED I HAD DONE IT SOONER! NO Regrets!!!
  15. @@ssflbelle - you need to call the doctor now. The weight loss and dosage may be too strong - mine was....
  16. keep working your plan and make sure you are eating the right amounts (track) and if the "turkey burger" has bread - eat it without - PROTEIN first.
  17. @@TMW2016 - Hopefully you are in recovery and about to get up and start walking! The spot here on the bench (losers) is ready for you to take a break after circling the floor at the hospital a couple of times
  18. @@Daisee68 - I do the same thing mixing with water and I am not a milk drinker either. I like Fairlife. I also like unsweetened Almond and Cashew milk diluted down for a protein drink
  19. @@Elode - yeah! you are going to be runway ready by end of the year! you look great BTW, loved the winter guard pics!
  20. I thought it was just me and just a few others. I have dealt with this off/on for a while now (before WLS) but it seems to be a "norm" now to do what @@Dub did last night...fall asleep, wake up, get up because I cant fall back to sleep. I get the "restless" sleep if I do fall back asleep. I have to be at work early but I get sleepy earlier in the afternoon and fight to stay awake so I can sleep from roughly 8-9pm to 3:30ish. Neither melatonin or Zyquil kept me asleep.
  21. @@Nurse_Lenora - Happy early "Butterfly" Day!!!! In the next month or so everything will seem so different with food~
  22. @@ylluz - I was losing slower than the norm and felt the same way with my doctor. I am currently -98lbs and have been trying to get back on track for last week or so. As the others said - if you are losing - no matter how slow - ITS LOSING!!! Even a gain of a pound or so is OK - stay the course. If you get off (like I have done) get back on!!! we got this!
  23. @@RoachBug - welcome
  24. @@smallbmi - crackers (carbs) have crept back into my diet and so have nuts(more than a handful)! I have been at the same weight +/- 3lbs for the past 2months. I have started measuring stuff out diligently and taking to work ONLY what I portion out. Grazing is a staring me in the face and I am about 25lbs from my goal and almost 9months out (the 6th). I should be there (goal) or pretty darn close by now..... "We got this, right?"
  25. @@kristennichole - breathe
