  1. LOL I don't think that's possible but I will try. She is spunky.
  2. @@ProjectMe well the trail is a big circle and like I said not my 1st time there everyone has a different pace, if you invite someone of a different fitness level to walk with you it is nicer if you can be patient with them, either walk with them or by all means don't make fun of them the whole way.
  3. @@ProjectMe She's older than me at 56 but I'm 38 the other 2 gals were my age, she wasn't given the youngin grief she was giving her least favortie DIL grief and found a way to humiliate me in front of other people.
  4. I hate to get on here and vent but my mother in law drove me banonkers (bananna + bonkers) today, She invites me to walk with her down at the AG center, there are 2 trails there one goes 2miles around then there is a smaller trail that goes around some woods for about a mile around, now this is where I got my start, walking I told her about this trail, but since I have a treadmill I left off walking there when it turned off cold. Anyhow my mother in law is a ver fit person she walks on her own property behind her house up a logging trail 4 miles mostly uphill and a lot of it is steep, the AG center is mostly flat ground. Her and three other ladies have recently been walking down there every Sunday 4 miles, and asked me if I wanted to come. Immediatley she starts calling attention to how slow I am, 1st words out of her mouth were "Your going to have a hard time catching up." Then she turns and says she just can't walk at such a slow pace and is going to go on, I tell her to go ahead, she says "You see Angel we are going to walk ALL the way around" I understand that I told her just go on, but she's making wide circles like I have no idea what I'm in for. They go on ahead of me but I kept them in sight most of the walk. I walked three miles in all I went back to the car and found 10 dollars in the field on my way back, I was just really upset with how impatient she was being. To top it all off she gets back to the car and says pretty good for a beginner. grrrr.
  5. It's like I say if I want drama I'll watch Dance Moms then I'm good for a week. LOL
  6. I am curious about sugar free products such as jellies jams and desserts for diabetics, and what it means when It lists sugar alcohol levels does that raise your sugar? for a lapband patient would those things be okay as a treat in small amounts?
  7. Even with the weight I've lost things are already getting more comfortable, my seatbelt fits, I can fit in the chairs at church and the booths in restaraunts now, I don't have to perform contortion to take care of personal needs, I no longer sound like I just ran a marathon walking 10 feet, I can tie my shoes. I am lifting heavier things now that my stomach is smaller. I have more energy to take care of our new puppy, the house looks better as I can do more house cleaning and laundry everyday. I already am feeling better in social situations. I am not off my BP meds yet but the number are going down, hopefully soon. So thanks for the reminder. All of us can think of ways we benefit other than the scales.
  8. I can lose weight fairly well, I can't maintain, I am hoping the surgery helps me keep the habits I adopt by reminding me to put down the fork.
  9. @@Bandista it was hard but fun I don't have the moves like jagger that's for sure.
  10. @@kellhale33 so far I haven't had any problems but I have been nervous about testing limits, I'm not supposed to eat pizza and I have been told it's the bread but it's also a trigger food for me so I just stay away from it. I have eaten tuna hamburger chicken roast cheese and lunch meat , broccoli green Beans soft carrots and some potatoes, a few times I've had beef Jerky the tender teryaki version, and a few cheats with dark chocalate.
  11. I had my surgery Nov 21st. 3weeks ago I had my 1st fill unfortunatly I had gained 2lbs but, today I was down 9. The Dr. is more pleasant and complimetary when I'm actually following his plan lol, He gave me another fill 1.5 so I think that's 3cc all together this time I can tell a small difference, I had Tuna and broccoli salad for lunch, I bought a pound of broccoli salad at the deli, I had about 10 bites of tuna, and 10 bites of broccoli and I felt full, gave the broccoli to my son cause he loves the broccoli salad, it sort of tastes like cole slaw it's good and sweet enough to help me with that particular craving. I want to try Zumba tonight, I'm getting bored with my treadmill I'd like to mix it up a bit. Changing my tracker today, I am 11lbs from losing 100.
  12. When I first joined I was trying to figure out who all these NUTS were and why thay had so much say in peoples diets
  13. I had my first fill 4 weeks post op, I don't really feel it, but I did go to Mom's and had a normal sized meal it was roast beef carrots with on small potatoe and, I did what was suggested and started with the Protein, by the time I got to the potatoe I could only eat half of it, normally I would have 2nds, but I do not have a lot of restriction and was told not to expect that until around the 4th or 5th fill luckily my Dr. does them once every 2 weeks.
  14. I had a hernia I didn't even know about, and the Dr. did fix it at the same time as my surgery. I hope the pain subsides until your surgery.
  15. @@MeAndTinyTina I appreciate it when people do at least try to understand it.
  16. One thing I knew going into this, because I've tried it before is, weight loss does not cure depression. I don't know how many of you have depression but I'm guessing there are a few of you like me, whose weight is a symptom of depression? I am not thin yet by any means but, now that I have dropped a lot of weight I'm getting questions like "do you feel better?, are you happier? do you have more energy?" In a nut shell the answer is YES I do feel better, moving around does help depression losing weight and feeling better does help, but it doesn't cure it and I know that deep down that is what most of these people are asking they are veiled questions for "Are you still depressed?" Depression isn't just a bad mood, it's a medical condition, just like obesity and I can treat the symptoms but it never really goes away.
  17. These are not textured like pancakes more like an omelet, I personally don't have a problem with eggs and cream cheese but I don't have much restriction yet. @@hope2 @@B-52 at any rate at a time in my diet when I am trying to make all this high Protein stuff interesting I thought I would share this.
  18. I love the part when it's over, but seriously I love iHeart radio without music I cannot exercise.

  20. Thanks I needed that said this one, I started at 321,
  21. If there is one time people think it's okay to overeat it's the holidays, one girl where I go to get my surgery was actually getting negative comments because she was going to "miss" thanksgiving. Maybe you should pack up something you know your FIL shouldn't have and send it to him.
  22. I can't swing my arms when I work on the treadmill I have a hand pedaler that I use for 1/2 hour after getting off the treadmill to work out my arms a bit I put it on high resistance hope it helps.
  23. LOL!! No kidding I once had so many teeth filled at once that the numbing medicine numbed my toungue for 2 weeks I lost 15lbs just not being able to taste anything.
  24. I had my 1st fill the 18th not sure how much he put in but I'm on solid foods and don't really feel much yet I've heard people on here say sometimes it takes a few fills, with you being on liquids you may not feel it right away.
