  1. Thanks, Sades!! I'm getting there slowly. Before too long, you and I will be posting those after pictures. It will happen! And thanks, you guys for the compliments on my son. He's as sweet as he is cute. He's my biggest fan, always telling me how great I look. Hope he stays this sweet as we enter the teen years!
  2. Hi Kendra! So good to hear from you! I'm glad that you're taking the next step in your treatment. I've no doubt that with your determination and optimism, you will beat this thing. Keep kicking and stomping! We're right there with you!
  3. Thanks, Bandpal! The only reason I have any before photos at all is that I had already decided to have the surgery and needed a photo to compare to later when the weight started to come off. I have a few years with no photos taken at all. I feel really guilty that I missed those years having pictures taken with my kids. I made sure to always be the one with the camera and took lots of photos of them with their dad but none with me. How sad. I just took a few with my daughter too. I'm still not too happy with how I look in pictures but it is definitely an improvement. Can't wait till the day when I can post after pictures!
  4. OK, here's a before and midway photo. Both are with my son and I'm sort of hiding behind him. I can see a difference in my arms and chin. I don't have a full body midway photo. I'll take lots of those when I'm close to goal!
  5. Well, I'm definitely not hungry tonight. A little blended soup kept me satisfied. Wish I felt like that everyday! Hopefully, this will get me into the 180's. If the x-ray shows that everything is OK, I'll get another tiny fill in a couple of weeks.
  6. Sades, I see a big difference in your face! Although you're not showing lower body in the photos, I'm the sure the rest of you looks great too! I also love your new hairstyle. I'll have to get around to posting midway pics too.
  7. Got a tiny fill today of 1/8th of a cc. This brings me to 7.3. I also got a prescription for an x-ray with barium. Just want to make sure everything is OK for peace of mind.
  8. Down 62 pounds and stuck on a 3 month plateau. Just had a fill today to get things going again.
  9. Sades, I'm between 7 and 7.5cc's. It's been so long since I got a fill, that I forgot where I'm at! I haven't been able to get a roll down since surgery. Helps you cut down on the carbs. I NEED to get into the 180's! I've been in 190's land for way too long. Guess I'll go for that fill. It will be worth the misery!
  10. Sades, I can't imagine getting 1cc at a time. I won't be able to swallow water with that much. My last fill was .25 and I had to take it out a few days later. I'm only going to put in 1/8 this time. I know it's wimpy but I have a really hard time with fills. It takes almost nothing for my tummy to react and swell closed.
  11. Lindata, what a scary experience, especially with a little one with you! So glad you are all OK!! Shalee, I've been following your PS thread. Glad you're feeling better! I made Thanksgiving dinner at my house for about 12 people. Even though I sent home leftovers with my guests, we still had a lot leftover. Too much stuffing, yams, and pie did not help my efforts this week.
  12. Speaking of plateaus, I've been up and down the same 5 pounds for 3 months! I'm seeing the nurse practitioner on Friday. Time to cave and get another fill. If I can only lose by choking down liquids, so be it. I'm getting a bit panicky!
  13. Bandpal, OMG!! You look great!!! And yes, you do have more guts than most! I don't care how thin I get, there will be no underwear pics, LOL! Wendy, you look awesome! What a difference!! I'll post after I get some more off.
  14. I guess I should have said "November Nymphs Weight Loss Challenge" when I started the thread. Do the threads show up anywhere else on the site other than under our group month? I don't understand how others would find this challenge unless they were looking under November 2007. Oh well, the more the merrier I guess.
  15. Post as much as you like, Steph! You look awesome!!
  16. Glad you're doing O.K., Shalee. This will soon be behind you and you'll look awesome! Can't wait to see some pics!
  17. Yeah Steph, you do look awesome!! You're motivating me to get my butt in gear. I should have lost more by now. You'll get the rest off before you know it!
  18. Judy, I got plantar fascitis when I weighed my heaviest. I had put on 50 pounds in one year after losing my parents and both of my feet were very painful. The doc said it was from putting on so much weight so fast. I just used ice and rolled my feet over cans to relieve them. It went away after losing 40 pounds or so. One day I just realized that my feet didn't hurt anymore. What a relief! Hope you feel better soon and can get back into your routine. By the way, I was following Shalee's thread on the PS site and she hasn't been on in 6 days. I saw that she was having some problems with her incisions. I hope she's O.K. but I'm concerned.
  19. O.K. Shalee, your fellow November Nymphs are getting concerned. Where are you, girl? Hope you're alright! Please jump on as soon as you can and let us know how you're doing.
  20. What news about plastic leaking? Is there a specific device that they were talking about? I must live in a bubble. I never heard about this. Well, it's too late now. That hunk of plastic isn't going anywhere while I've got 60 more pounds to lose!
  21. Judy, you're doing great! Most of us have slowed down by now even with the band. I tend to go down 2 and up 1 as well. It's taking me forever to get into the 180's. I either have to cave in and get another fill, which I hate, or really diet. Hope your foot gets better quick. What did you do to it?
  22. Foofy, I'm glad you had so much fun! I've gotta get to Sammy's! Sounds like a blast! You named just about all of my favorite Jewish foods. I haven't had most of them since the banding. I used to looove hot pastrami on rye with mustard. Now the bread won't go down and I know the pastrami would get stuck so I wouldn't even try. I love chopped liver too but never had it with sauteed onions. I need to try that. I grew up having egg creams. I didn't even know that was considered a Jewish drink. I still have one once in a while. I make them at home with skim milk, seltzer, and lite chocolate syrup. Yum!
  23. Hi Shalee, I just read your thread from start to finish. I hope you're feeling better and get that shower soon! I know this will all be worth it. Imagine how great you'll look in a bathing suit this summer!
  24. I'm not concerned with my boobs either. They're not too bad and the only one who will appreciate the boob job would be my husband. Since he won't be the one going under the knife, too bad! My thighs have always been an issue for me. Getting a thigh lift makes me nervous. I will ask the plastic surgeon what's involved. Gotta do that tummy. Like you guys, I stand in front of the mirror lifting it up, pulling the love handles sideways, etc. Judy, I had 2 discs repaired in my neck. A few years ago, I got hit from behind by an old lady. 2 discs herniated and the pain got so bad that I finally caved in and had surgery. The surgeon went through the front of the neck and that area has been numb and swollen ever since. I thought I would ask the surgeon about that too. If lipo would do the trick, that would be great!
  25. Hey Wendy! I just checked my profile and found a message from you about starting this thread. you left me the message on 10/12 and I just saw it today! Sorry! Anyway, this thread is a great idea.
