  1. Hi!!! We have family in Witts Spring :-) I feel amazing!!!!! I haven't really had any trouble at all this surgery was the best decision I have ever made! I need to start working out more but other than that I am doing well!
  2. I'm from Arkansas too!! I had Gastric Sleeve in LR with Dr Gibbs on 11/19 I'm down 42 pounds - 30 since surgery! I'm from the LR area and would love a support group here!!
  3. Surgery date 11/19 Preop diet weight: 275 Day of Surgery: 262.2 Today's weight: 233.6 Total weight loss: 41.4 pounds I've had a really easy time and sometimes feel like it's going too well!!!! The only thing I notice is that others can eat more volume than I can but I'm still doing well so I'm not to concerned. You all are doing so great!!!! Keep up the great work!
  4. Yeah! A fellow Arkansan!!!!
  5. I was sleeved on 11/19 (4 weeks ago) and it was a very positive experience for me. I've had 13 other abdominal surgeries and was anticipating the worst but..... It was the easiest surgery I've ever had! I only pushed the pain med button 4 times right after surgery. I was walking every hour by three hours out of surgery. I had my IV and pain meds removed the next morning! 12 pounds lost pre-op and 28 since surgery! Best decision I've ever made!!!!!! Was totally pain and soreness free in 2 weeks, went back to work on day 11 and went swimming today with no pain at all!
  6. Originally from Chicago, Illinois Now live in Little Rock, Arkansas
  7. I had surgery on 11/19 (4 weeks ago). Including the 12 pounds that I lost pre-op I am 40 pounds down!!
  8. Send me your email address and I'll send you a copy of my appeal letter
  9. Awesome!!!! How much do you eat and how often are you working out? What types of workouts?
  10. The best shakes that I have found are premier protein and you get them at SAMs club
  11. Awesome!!!!!! You and I are both 4 weeks out and have lost almost the same amount!!!! Keep up the great work!!!!!!
  12. The only thing I cheated with was a few oyster crackers in my broth.
  13. I'm finding myself stressing out because I don't have access to a scale when I travel. I'm also finding it hard to have to go to walgreens or cvs in every town I visit to get enough shakes to have until I fly again. (Can't carry them with you) :-( And without being able to cook it makes not eating out difficult. Any travel suggestions?
  14. What are y'all eating now? I'm in week 3 I'm worried because I can eat more now than week one And today I actually felt hungry
  15. My Dad and husband had concerns as well, but once I explained the risks to them and told them how the risks of surgery were very minimal compared to the health risks I would face for the rest of my life if I didn't do it, they understood! Maybe try that approach and see how it goes.
  16. I have never had a yeast infection before, ever, but 1 week out I started treating one....I was freaking out at first but I've read that it's pretty common. From medication to hormonal changes and the shock that the body is in, it can happen.
  17. Today was my first "panic" - I had two small pieces of chicken - like a fajita strip - and I apparently wasn't eating slow enough......I felt it.....had a lot of foamy stuff coming back up and felt like if I could have burped a huge burp I works have felt better - it took about 30 minutes for the feeling to pass!! Won't do that again!!!!
  18. I have also been heavier than my husband for several years....tonight I realized only two weeks out from surgery that I will catch my hubby in only 20 more pounds!!!!! I ant wait until the day I weigh less than him!!
  19. It's been amazing so far!! I've done pretty well the whole time. Today I've snacked a little more than normal but didn't really eat much more than normal...I had an extra cheese stick lol!! I'm nervous about going back to work tomorrow because I always forget to eat when I'm there and busy....I went shopping tonight to make sure I have plenty to pack with me. I'm so glad you are doing well!!!! I haven't found the "bad" yet but when I do I'll let everyone know!
  20. Awesome work!!!!! I've had some trouble chewing and swallowing all my Vitamins too - I'm looking for a better way to get them all in. If I find one I'll let you know.
  21. That's awesome!!!!! Keep up the good work!! No more lifting!!
  22. How did you do on Thanksgiving? Did you decide to go shopping? I typically shop all day from 2am to evening however, this year I only went to Kohls because I didn't want to over do it! I shopped for about 3 hours and that was plenty!
  23. Hi all week of November 17th sleevers!! Check in and let us know how you are doing!!!!! Here's my check in for today: Surgery date 11/19 Heaviest weight: 275 After pre-op diet (day of surg): 262.2 Today's weight: 245.4 Total weight loss: 29.4 pounds! I am feeling really well. Haven't pushed the envelope too much mostly still on liquids, but have had some canned chicken and soft vegetables. I will be going back to work on Monday Dec 1st. I hope everyone else is doing great as well!!!!!
