  1. I had a huge loss my first week post-op (22 pounds) and only a couple of pounds since then. I have been feeling fairly discouraged today, but am trying to remind myself that slow and steady wins the race when it comes to weight loss.

I am in the same shoe... I am thinking about to stop weighing my self for a longer period... what helped for you? or still having the same problem?

  2. I am starting to get really annoyed... It has been 3 weeks and my incisions are itching like hell

    and they are red...

also, since 5 october I have only lost 3 kgs... which is the normal weight loss amount for anyone

but so soon after surgery shouldn't be more???? or am i paranoid? I am afraid that I am doing something wrong...

  3. @@BubblyTXGirl I could also use some tips on this....

Now I am just relying on instincts and I eat really slow in order to fill

when I am just okay. at first I have to force my self to take down the spoon

and not eat but when I am ok I usually forget that I am eating... but sometimes

I feel like after a christmas eve dinner as well... so I suppose it takes practice

  4. I am two weeks past surgery and I have not lost any weight in 3 days. In fact, this morning I had gained 0.6 of a pound. I only eat 2 tablespoons of food 3 times per day and 4oz of Protein shakes also 3 times per day. I am moderately active. How is it even possible that my weight loss has come to a halt. I know, I always knew this surgery may not work for me. I will be the only person in WLS history who fails to lose weight. My worst fear is upon me. What do I do?

Beni don't worry, last week I haven't lost any weight for five days so I had the same negative thoughts

but now I am back on track so I am sure it will restart for you as well. One thing, isn't 3 Protein Shakes too much? Be careful with the calories in Protein shakes!

  5. I am sorry guy, who aren' so well but vow I am sooo happy today and feeling lucky, because I don't feel any pain I did my first weigh in and I've lost 17 lbs since surgery, in only 6 days, that sounds crazy... I almost fainted on the scale :D So really I can't complain, oh and I found a Protein shake finally that has almost the same elements as powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury . That was a big research....I love this old continent of mine....but sometimes...

There is just one thing, is it weird that I have shitted only once (sorry i don't know the medical term in english) since surgery?

  6. Cough hurts me a little bit... moving not a problem for me either. It hurts to drink Water when I drink too fast.

I am very sensitive to smells, I can't stand the smell of garlic and fried stuff, its like I am pregnant... but I am not so

its probably more psychological than physical. I had the surgery abroad I have just arrived home, 2 hours flight but everything went well, not so exhausted as I expected. :)

  7. Thanks for all the support :) I am feeling really excited myself

I can see thought that the diet is not the same for everyone for example

my doctor told me to start eating after 3 days so I have already had some yogurt and baby food.

Also, Protein shakes are not really part of the diet here. In Europe there are not many products

for Protein powder... but still it would be easier to take in the minimum amount of Protein.

Are there any other Europeans who can help with this?

My postop pains are almost totally gone, the only thing is that I feel like air stuck between my ribs, but it could be worse...

Yesterday I walked for two and a half hour... :D

AND GOOD LUCK TO ALL THE OTHER GLADIATORS!!!!

  9. Hi Everyone!

I am new here, but my surgery is on Monday and I don't want to go under the

knife fully aware. Naturally I did my research but after the surgery are there any questions you

wished you have asked from your doctor before the surgery?

    thanks.

  10. Hello All,

I've just joined the site myself and I also have the surgery in october, 27th... I am so excited...one week from now.

I am European and unfortunately we don't have as many patients as you have in the USA hence in all of hungary there is only one

support group so I am trying to be really active online to help through the emotional part of the journey.... Everybody, what are you planning

to do to support the mental recovery?
