So excited to see everyone's success so far!! Great job you all are looking wonderful! I am a little jealous too (it's a good jealous)! As someone else mentioned earlier I wish that I had partaken of this surgery sooner so that I could be where some of you are, nearing the finish line! However, I started out much larger but have made some promising steps too from a size 30 jean to a size 20. I can wear a few things in 18/20. However, as much as things have changed I still have an entire mountain ahead of me to tackle I've lost 87 pounds but still have 123 to go! Oh well...I just won a battle but I'm still going to take this war! We are fighting for our health and happiness and NOTHING will stand in our way!!

I love that dress too! I couldn't pull off the skinny straps though, my darn big chest requires too big of a bra, LOL! I can't believe my cup size hasn't gone down??! I went from a 40DDD to a 34DDD. I've tried a DD cup, but my left side is significantly larger and it just won't squeeze into it well. I have a lot of breast tissue, but yet it's totally deflated, does that make sense? So bummed on my boobs.
I think I'm going to start saving some $$ so maybe next year I could get a bit of a reduction and for sure a lift.
We're going to Hawaii in June and I REALLY wanted to be able to wear some cute sun dresses and tanks, but I don't think I can pull them off. UGH...we'll see!

:P Too funny about you all dropping your drawers!!!
    I haven't had that happen!!
But....I did go shopping last week. I had a bridal shower to go to on Saturday and I needed something sharp to wear.(not a dressy shower, so jeans and a nice shirt is what I was looking for) My honey's Ex was going to be there, and I tend to look down on myself when she's around because she always seems put together and she's smaller than me. (my little insecurities...)
SO...anyway. I went shopping and the sales lady was so sweet with me. I told her I had lost 71 pounds and really had no clue what size I should be wearing. So we started with a plus size 16. Uh...WAY too big. So we tried a regular size 16...too big. Tried a size 15 in a really expensive jean. But I figured, if it looks good, I'm going to splurge! Well, they fit great, except the waistline was really big. Damn big thighs/calves! She brought back a 13/14, and said, "Now, don't panic. These are a skinny jean, but I didn't have a 13/14 in the boot cut leg." OMG, totally pointless to even try on with my big thighs/calves!
Holy buckets, they fit PERFECT!! I pretty much started crying in the dressing room. I told her the last time I had bought myself jeans, it was a plus size 20/22.
Ok, so I had the jeans! Then I found several shirts too....some even size Mediums! Holy crap! So the next morning, I can't find my jacket anywhere. Totally in a panic because it was a $175 jacket. UGH...I swore I remember wearing it out of that store the night before, but thought I'd call just to make sure. All I got out was, "I was the one who kept you late last night...." And she said, "We have your jacket!" LOL..so I went on my lunch hour and picked it up. And of course, the great sales lady she is, told me they just got a new shipment of stuff in. Ended up walking out with another $125 worth of stuff. I got this cute pair of dark gray pants that can roll up to be capri pants too. Didn't even try them on, bought the 13/14's. That night I tried them on and they're loose!
So....Saturday at the shower, I wore my SKINNY jeans, a pretty pale yellow "Springy" short sleeve sweater and some high heeled sandals. Feeling pretty good about myself, but figured as soon as I saw "the ex biotch" I'd be put in my place. WELL! I don't know what happened to her, but I'd say she's put on 15 pounds and looked frumpy, sloppy, wore an old tattered looking shirt. And she was late and flustered! So I just gotta say, I looked DAMN good!! And felt even better!!! Plus, my honey slapped my behind before I left the house and said, "Wow! Those jeans are HOT!"

Today is a day for celebration! Well, one celebration, tomorrow may be another one. Today I weighed in at 200.8 lbs. Thats 50 lbs loss from my heighest weight. This is also the lowest I've been since I can recall from 2006, when I was pregnant with my daughter. I didn't cry ugly tears, yet. I imagine I will once I find that illusive 199 lbs mark. It's so close I can taste it. I managed to find out that I lost around 6 lbs last month give or take a lb. Although it has averaged 10.5 lbs a month since surgery. That is the average amount of loss. My expatations may have been premature and I feel like I will make many of those premature assumptions in the future. Whoever said WLS was easy, have no single idea what they are talking about, we have to struggle with our minds and bodies daily, we have to find ourselves, find the love we may have lost or had stolen from us with hurtful words, evil eyes and our own words repeated in our heads over and over again. One day I will hope that I can look back at this and Say, what were you so worried about? You were beautiful then, you were loved then, you were accepted then. So today I Celebrate the fact that I've lost 50 lbs, and want to lose so much more, but for today its amazing.

some friends were cracking on my baggy size 12 jeans last night, so off to the thrift store I went, tried on some 8's baggy, some 6's fit, but still baggy in the hip/thigh area. So then went to some size 4's. They f@#king fit, OMG, I have never worn a size 4, except for a 4t maybe when I was a toddler. I tried on a couple pairs to make sure it was not just a fluke.
I am holding a bit of my saggy belly for the picture. Happy Dance!!! from a 24 to a 4 in 10 months!

@Bronxmerci---I 100% agree with what Beni wrote. You have to get your nutrients in, and if soft foods is what you can handle right now, eat those. I also had to go back to blended foods for a while, because everything made me nauseous. I lived on cottage cheese for at least 2 weeks I think! But it's what worked. Hang in there girl, we're all thinking of you!!
@Beni--Thanks so much friend! I am happy the weight is coming off, but I really need some muscle! And I feel like a SLOTH now! Not in the "heavy" sense, but just slow moving--really wishing we had a bathroom on the main level at home, LOL!! I LOVE your imagery examples!!
I'm so bummed my yoga class was eliminated at the gym! BUT....I can't "really" use that as an excuse not to do some yogy--because I have a yoga mat and the internet at home, SO......I could be doing it there. It's just finding that 1/2 hour to take for myself. You understand, I'm sure.
You are SO close to onederland!!! Seemed like it took me weeks to get from 200, then it seems like I've just breezed by getting down to 190. (actually yesterday it was 190.8, this morning 190--But I always leave off the .whatever...LOL)
I still haven't tried on a pair of boots, because I've NEVER been able to wear them. And to me, my calves are still HUGE. So I don't want to disappoint myself.
But I really need some new shoes now--mine are all loose now!
I think I'd really enjoy your dream vacation spot too!! Wouldn't that be nice, for a while! Yes, a girl SHOULD dream, for sure!!
Did I tell you all we have a trip to Hawaii booked for June!? I CANNOT wait!! But I'd REALLY like to tone up my legs and arms by then so I can wear some shorts and shirts without having flappy skin, LOL!
Guess I'd better go get some work done, looks like it's going to be a Monday from hell.

Today is a landmark day for me. I hit fifty pounds. The forties were so hard to get through but I've started exercising and cut down on carbs. Hopefully working through the fifties will be a little easier. I'm so excited today!

OMG I am shaking right now, you guys look amazing. I cannot believe my eyes when I see your pictures. This is real. I am not dreaming. This is really happening to us. I am crying like a baby right now. I know the pounds are going and I know I look thinner but it wasn't until I saw your pictures that I can see how it is changing you and me. I am in awe. Thank you so much for posting those pictures. You made my day, my week, my month.

So I'm down another couple of pounds, I'm now 220. Come on, 1 more pound and I can be out of the 220's forever! Since I'm now 220, I've dropped 30 lbs! I'm so hoping I can be out of the 200's by New years eve, or even the End of Janurary. I figured we have a little over 10 weeks until New Years Day, if I can lose 2 lbs a week for the next 10 weeks I'll be out of the 200's by then. Here's to hoping.

Hey Honeys!! I am home! My son is acting distant, it was a very long time. After all my complications, today I can say I feel great. I tried on some jeans that haven't fit me since before I gained all the weight after the baby and they were sagging and falling off. I went food shopping and it went pretty good, I also walked 3 miles not including my 2 hours walking in the store. I missed my freedom. I am going to have extra doctors visits weekly but I am so glad to be home, I get to sleep with my baby and nomore annoying roommates lol. I am also getting 16oz of Water down in less than an hour without pain. I figured if I keep stopping myself I will never get my water in. I drink until I feel slightly full and my nut said its okay and won't stretch my pouch because its going through me. So I drink like 5oz every 15-20 mins and 4 to 5 bottles of liquid a day so 64 to 80oz. I am also having 2oz of tuna, chicken, beef, or pork 14G and then I use GENEPRO with this juice (healthy balance made with splenda or diet oceanspray) water mixure for an additional 60G of Protein, I drink that one slower so that it can absorb. I'm sorry I wrote so much I am just happy to be home and to be pain free and alive. Since getting my protein and water plus Vitamin in I barely feel weak, I am going to be cleared for solids in 2 weeks and exercise. I had to wait longer because of the complications. I still feel some regrets, but hopefully it fades completely. Okay ladies and gents, I hope everyone is great I love you all.

Hurray hurray, I am free. 12 days is a personal record. I went. Gosh I must advise anyone post surgery to be very mindful of Constipation. It has been my worst complication and very painful. I will be taking Peri-Colace religiously everyday. As soon as I'm allowed I will take the insoluble Fiber

I've been MIA for a while - we've got quite a few additions since this started. I'm definitely making a list for prayers and encouragement so know that you all have people in your corner.
I'm almost 6 weeks out and hit a horrible patch of nausea. It's not gone but I've finally found homeopathic ways to help get through the day. No medicine has worked.
I became really depressed so I left the group in wonder why I would do this to myself. I'm out of that thank god. We all are important and go through our trials - it's important for everyone to know you are worth it. You can ask for help. I suffer from the thought that others can have it worse so don't complain.
Here's to looking up and moving forward. My heart is with you all!
left is now - right is day of surgery
