  1. WOW! These are all great suggestions! It's great to see all the interesting feedback.
  2. One of my friends was 480 and he's 18 months post op and weighs 198 now.
  3. Consider finding a counselor that specializes in food addiction. Don't wait til you have surgery to start this. Start it now.
  4. I think it warrants a call to the Dr. if it's bothering you. None of us could diagnose of course. Better safe than sorry!
  5. You must be talented to have removed your own gallbladder. hehe j/k
  6. I would tell them to go jump in a lake.
  7. Please keep us posted with what your therapist has to say on the matter
  8. @@Miss Mac You are smart to encourage her to do those things. I cut out caffeine a few weeks ago because I do NOT want to go through the DT's while also doing a 2 week liquid preop. Can you say go postal? Now that I'm finished with the caffeine headaches I've moved on to pushing Water, water, water and chewing each small bite of food 30 times. @@avermette take the time to put into practice some of these things to ease your way into your new lifestyle.
  9. I would say anytime you are concerned CALL YOUR DOCTOR, that's what they are there for! xoxo
  10. I've often wondered about this. When I have lost weight in the past, my brain never had time to catch up because I was always gaining and losing. It'll be interesting to hear from those on the other side.
  11. You're right, but nobody is diagnosing anything. If anything we've all encouraged her to seek medical attention. Love and light.
  12. I am also on full liquids for two weeks, but I'm crossing my fingers that who ever did this will see it
  13. I saw someone post on here (and now I can't find it) where she stayed on Protein shakes much longer than required and that seemed to aid not only in her weight loss initially, but also gave her new tummy extra long to heal and repair before moving onto pureed and mushies. If I remember correctly it was about 2-3 months she did this post op. Granted, this approach would mean that one would actually have to tolerate shakes to be able to remain their sanity, but has anyone else heard of this option?
  14. We all gained the weight that brought us to surgery because we were kidding ourselves. Granted some of us have physical limitations too, but the fact is that "occasional" oreo and the few pieces of chocolate are catastrophic to those of us that deal with one indulgence, two indulgences, 15 indulgences. You get the point. Don't start down that road of lies. Get the crap out of your house and refocus.
  15. H.O.L.Y.C.R.A.P......utterly speechless.....
  16. Just think of all the fun you could have with wigs and extensions
  17. Are they both a part of a center for excellence? Because that's what you want - no exceptions.
  18. Surely to God you don't mean drink as in alcohol. Have you not read about your post op diet? I think you need to understand what you're up against. 20 days is really soon for that kind of vacation. Can you postpone the surgery? This is a really critical time in your life. My surgeon won't allow alcohol for a whole year after surgery! Much less 20 days!!!
  19. Either way you'll be on liquids because of preop diet
  20. I have to use Bariatric Advantage. I hope its good!
