I am almost 8 months out and I finally reached the 100 pounds lost mark! Yyyyaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!
I started this process at 315 and today I weigh 214.6.
Another 70 pounds would put me in the normal BMI range. My one year anniversary is May 26th.
I would like to at least lose another 40 lbs by my surgiversary.
Onederland Is so close. Can't wait to reach it.

That is an impressive loss rate. Congrats to you and good luck with your future loss. Don't beat yourself up if you don't make a specific deadline, though. Just keep up the good work and take pride in your progress.

Maybe you should up your calories to 1600 -1800 for the amount of exercise you are doing. Also, the more muscle you build, the more calories you burn. So you could be burning more calories just sitting than you were when you were heavier combined with the exercise and you have a huge calorie deficit.
Just a thought. I am 7 months out and have not reached goal. I am just going on what I have been told about losing.
    Good luck

I won't watch that peice of crap show since the doctor on the show berated weight loss surgery and said the way they lose weight on the show is the "right" way.
I wasn't aware that excersising 8 hours a day was the "right" way to lose weight! Gee, why did I even have surgery?!

SmilingBeauty reacted to Babbs in What percentage of people gain the weight back ?
Yes, people can gain all their weight back. I see it all the time.
The amount you can eat now won't be the amount you will be able to eat a year or two or five down the road.
Some post ops can eat the equivalent of a small dinner plate of food years down the road. Why that happens is debatable, but it naturally happens with time. So a small dinner plate of high calorie fried food and mashed potatoes and gravy will have the same effect post op as it did pre op...weight gain.
Grazing and drinking our calories is also a culprit of weight gain. Sure we may not be able to eat a lot in one sitting, but how easy is it to gulp down those 400 calorie coffees from Starbucks or eat a bag of chips through out the day? Heck, if you gave me enough time, I could probably polish off a whole pizza in a day

I love carbs, lol. When I started the sleeve diet I knew I would not be willing to give up carbs for the rest of my life and that if I lost all of the weight on a strict low-carb diet the chance that I gained it back quickly when I went back to carbs was high. As such, I ate carbs the entire time I was losing and while I probably lost slower, I can now eat pretty much whatever carbs I want without worrying about gaining. To be accurate, I don't eat Pasta mostly because it makes me sick and I rarely eat bread, I do however eat crackers most days, oatmeal and granola for Breakfast, and other things that have a good degree of carbs in them. When consumed in moderation, I see nothing wrong with carbs and in hindsight I am glad that I didn't follow the Protein ONLY diet that I have heard people talk about because I would never be able to sustain that in the long term. Also, I found that while I was losing and even now, carbs are the sole source of energy that gets me through hard workouts. They have a solid place in my diet and in the weight loss I have attained and maintained.
    So, I <3 carbs!

I'm SO GLAD you pulled them aside and told them to cut the crap, and gladder still that your hubs stood up for you not once, but twice. Fabulous choices of yours on both counts.
The downside is that the more unperturbed you get about their nasty comments, the more outrageous they are likely to become. You and hubs just keep doing what you're doing, their smacktalk will only hurt them both in the end.
Just wait til next Thanksgiving, when you're a year and nine weeks out from your surgery, and totally rocking some cute outfit and collecting compliments. Living well is the best revenge.
