  1. I have the same issues.... I started at 210 - down to 160 and now I am "stuck". Or at leastI feel stuck. I think reality is that I am not being strict enough on my diet. Daytime is SO easy. But from 7pm on, all I can think about is eating/grazing. I try to stay away from carbs. I eat low fat string cheese, greek yogurt, sugar free popsicles, stuff that is higher in protein, but I eat every 30 minutes from about 9pm until I go to bed around midnight. I need to get a better control of my snacking and i MUST exercise. My goal weight is 150, but I will never make it if I keep snacking like this. I also have fears that I am going to ruin the procedure and get fat again. We need to keep reading here to realize that we arenot alone in our stuggles. I think it helps motivate us to know that we are not the only ones that struggle with how we used to eat. BUT... for the summer, lets focus on the positive. Like the fact that or the first time I got to buy a cute bathing suit instead of the suit that hides the most rolls! I have gone from a size 18 to a size 10 or 12. That makes a huge difference in the cuteness of the summertime clothes! That is my reward. Next step, goal weight by my surgiversary on 9/24. I WILL MAKE IT. Thanks to all of you that share your stories, triumphs and struggles! We are all amazing!
  2. Was sleeved on 9/24. Lost 20 lbs in the first 2-3 weeks. I m doing great - avg about 1lb a week which is what the nutritionoist told me to expect as my start weight was at 200lb. I am down to 160, my goal is 150. I have found over the past 3 weeks I have not lost any weight. Thankfully I am not loosing hair, but I feel like I am failing ..... My doc said they expect a stall @ 3 months, but he said weight loss returns "in full force" by month 4. No go for me. Granted I am down from pushing the limits of a size 16 down to a size 10 pant & size 12 top. I still have some fat that I swear I can feel jiggle on my back and lower belly and it drives me crazy. I am getting a little discouraged. I am concerned because I can eat 2 eggs for breakfast, 3-4 oz of meat for dinner... and I see other people saying they can barely eat a whole yogurt, etc... make me worry. Is anyone else in this stall? Is it just me?

The Rules: Do you follow them?

I follow most of the rules Protein First & at every meal No drink before, during or immediately after eating No carbonation almost no caffiene very limited sugar & fat Only eat toasted bread I eat Pasta, but changed to whole wheat & eat only 1/2 a cup serving Usually (90%) stick to the 1200 per day calories - weekends are the hardest though I am more active so maybe it balances I have trouble with grazing - mostly at night Don't have a support group - none close enough to me (I do start counseling in March to work through my fat person brain) Haven't started exercise, but am almost on my last 10 pounds.... probably will require exercise for that last bit Not really any other "rules" just smart plating - eating like I should have to keep me from getting fat in the first place!
  4. LAG & JCP - Congrats on the new size! I have been reluctant to shop for new clothes. Sleeved on 9/24 and down about 28 pounds. Yesterday I went to shop for a new bra out of necessity - I hav lost 4 inches in the band size. Jeans were on sale & I found myself picking up my usual size. After all was said and done I was in a jean 2 sizes smaller. I could not wait to get home and tell my husband. I can't wrap my brain around the idea that I may get down to my wedding day weight -- 150 pounds. Alll three of us will look so amazing at 150!
  5. I was sleeved 9/24. My doctor is moving my diet so slow! I have not had any issues with anything I eat. I have to wait 2 more weeks before I can start trying meats. I feel a little lost on what to eat and coming from a dieting mindset, I keep wondering how many calories I should get each day. Right now I average about 750. I lost 25 pounds from preop diet and 1week post op. Now at week 3.5 I have not lost any additional weight. From what I am reading this May be normal, but kind of freaks me out. I worry about eating the right foods through these stages (puréed, soft, the all foods) and how I will ever learn to eat properly again.
  6. I was sleeved on 9/24. Surgery at 11:30 and released by 7pm. Others went home sooner, but I was having such severe gas pain in my chest that the wanted me to walk, walk, walk. That night I slept non-stop. The next day the nausea kicked in. I dry heaved all day until the doc finally called in phenegran (at 7pm!) . I have been great since then. No pain meds needed and thankfully no more nausea. My concern is, I am on clear liquids only for 1 week. I feel like I am starving. I thought the sleeve controlled the "hunger"? I know it isn't head hunger because I am keeping busy, not watching commercials, etc... someone suggested it is reflux? Anyone else have this issue in the beginning?
