  1. I take a liquid b vitamin supplement I got at whole foods, as well as my multivitamin flinstone ( it's all I can tolerate) and a liquid calcium supplement
  2. I have numbness in my legs caused by vitamin b deficiency
  3. Luckily I have very little loose skin. Just on my belly area. I'm very lucky
  4. My weight goal keeps moving down. When is enough enough! I am addicted to seeing the scale continue to drop and I can't seem to reach a point I feel okay with maintaining. I'm 5'6 at 125. Anyone else dealing with this?
  5. I'm really struggling right now. For the past five months I've been dealing with a really severe stricture. I had it dialated last month and it helped a little bit now the doctor wants to dialate it again. This stricture is in part responsible for how much weight I've lost. I've never not had it from day one so I don't know what normal sleeve restriction feels like. I've surpassed my goal weight and keep losing. I can't seem to want to stop losing. And I'm terrified if I have my stricture fixed I might begin to gain weight back. It gives me such a limit on how much I can eat and I like having that control. I'm afraid I won't have it once it's gone!!! I'm so scared to gain even a single pound. I'm really stressed about this and don't know what to do. I miss eating without pain but isn't the point of this surgery to give me control and why would I undo that?? And when have a I reached my goal weight really? Because it just keeps moving down. Anyone else have feelings like this?
  6. I have this problem. It is from a Vitamin deficiency, namely vitamin b1. It is very common to have this issue when malnourished. I have the numbness in my legs. I had a blood test done to find out what was wrong. I'm now supplementing B Vitamins. I hope you feel better soon
  7. My surgery sucked with complications and I have lost most of my muscle but guess what? I am so glad I did this surgery!!!! It sounds like you didn't take it seriously, probably didn't follow your diet plan because you barely lost weight, and then gained that weight back! And your fishing for excuses as to why it didn't work for you. This surgery works amazing and duh- you are giving up eating large portions for life. That's the point!!!
  8. I'm down 120 pounds and have past my goal. I've had some pretty major complications since surgery but I'm still glad i did this. Sw 250 Cw 125 Height 5'6 It's been a wild ride. Still dealing with a stricture.
  9. I started at 250. I'm now at 125. I'm 5'6, 35 years old. I found this picture of myself from about one year ago and it's shocking. You wouldn't recognize me! I'm so happy I did this surgery, in spite of it being difficult at times.
  10. Sounds like a stricture
  11. Found a photo of me from last year today. I don't think I look a thing like my old self. It's so weird it's like I was wearing someone else's body back then. Start 250 size 20 Current 127 size 4 Height 5'6
  12. My goal also keeps going down. It's hard to stop the urge and exciting feeling of continuing to gain weight. I'm also scared to up my calories. But at some point it does have to stop. I think it depends on how you feel, your BMI for your frame size and your doctor. I can't really give you great advice here since I am in the same place at 120 pounds lost in seven months but I just want to say I know how you feel and I empathize.
  13. You look incredible. Good for you. Do you still have good restriction at this point?
  14. I have been through a lot with my surgery. I've suffered complications and I haven't been able to eat a meal without pain in almost eight months. It's been an ordeal and its cost me time and money and pain upon pain and my family strife and embarrassment and you name it. But you know what? I would do it all again. Because I LOVE my body and I do feel ever so much better. So if your on the fence just know that even in my shoes, I would do this again. It's given me my life back.
  15. I can't really take much credit. I've had complications and a stricture for months now. I've lost all the weight due mostly to this. I just hope things will soon get better so I can finally enjoy exercise and healthy foods. It is very possible to lose as much as I have in a healthy way however and you should set your goal weight at where you really want to be and not underestimate the power of this surgery!!
  16. When I eat food seems to get stuck up high in my chest. It hurts like crazy. I start to slime and I have to make myself vomit to get relief from the pain. I vomit 2-6 times a day. It's really random. Sometimes I can get down a little bit of solids but most of the time I can't. I can ussually eat dry chips, smoothies and cheese, but not large quantities or I'll throw up. I start to spit and sometimes immediately I throw up and sometimes about five minutes later. I've thrown up blood once already from all the inflammation. It's easier not to eat but I'm so hungry and crave solid food constantly.
  17. I have a stricture. I had my first dilation yesterday and it didn't work. How is it going with you? Did they tell you you were likely to leak because my doctor didn't mention that.
  18. I have had two weightloss surgeries. First gastric bypass. I had complications so the revised me to a sleeve. Now I have a stricture with scar tissue. They did a dilation yesterday and today I threw up just as usual. I haven't been able to eat solids in 7 months. I've lost 120 pounds, am now underweight, and the backs of my legs have started going numb. Vitamins make me throw up like everything else. Has anyone had stricture dialations and had it work for them? I am so scared this is not going to work for me and they are talking about converting me back to bypass. I can't imagine the idea. Nor can I have a stent as I hear they are very painful and I refuse to go back on narcotics as it was so difficult for me to get off of them after spending four months in the hospital on diladid. I feel like I'm losing hope.
  19. I've had several people mention they think I am getting too thin and need to stop losing. Especially my mom, who has taken it upon herself to make comments about my weight my entire life. I'm always either too fat or too thin for her. How do you deal with these reactions from people? I need some advice. I'm 5'6 and at 128. I'd like to maintain at 120-125. Yes I'm very thin but I like it. I feel beautiful.
  20. I hope I don't gain any back later. That scares me. Maybe I'll go to 120 then just for extra cushion.
  21. I started at 250 and am now at 128. I'm 5'6, 35 years old.
  22. What do you think about how I look? I feel I may be approaching the point of too thin but it's hard for me because I have a past history of body dysmorphia. Do you think this weight is okay? Should I lose to goal (125) or gain some back? I'm 5'6 and at 128 now. I'm having trouble stopping the weight loss because of a structure but I'm just wondering if it's time to start the Peanut Butter milkshakes. Thanks guys.
  23. Has anyone had a stricture dilated with success? I have one and had my first dilation today. The doctor said there is a lot of scar tissue in my esophagus causing food to get stuck and vomiting. From what I've read on here, many people have had no success with this procedure and end up with stents or revision surgery. I'm worried. Has anyone been able to eat after this procedure?
  24. I have numbness starting in my legs.
