  1. I was on abilify and Paxil, both weight gainers. Now replaced by rexulti and topamax. I'm eating mostly fruits and veggies past 2 weeks and have lost 6 lbs post getting off those meds. 50lbs to go. Ugh. Along with added weight back issues came back again. In so much back pain last couple days. I got surgery to get weight off due to back issues. I feel like such a failure Sent from my SM-J700T1 using the BariatricPal App

  9. Long story short. Sleeved Nov 2014 at 308 hit LW end of March this year, at 171. Felt great looked great. Depression set in for many reasons and tried suicide twice end of March and end of April. Was put on meds including abilify which is notorious for weight gain. Have gained 53 lbs in 5 months. I'm now 224. I'm off abilify but damage is done. And don't know how to lose the weight or eat healthy anymore. I went thru hell post surgery with complications including feeding tubes and 6 hospital stays and when I hit 171 was all worth it. Was down to a medium from 3X shirts now back to XL. Help. If I knew how to do it naturally to lose 50 plus lbs I wouldn't have needed the surgery. I try and diet and I blow it each time. I still can't eat as much pre sleeve but gaining 10 lbs a month currently. Depression is coming back due to how I look and feel about this now. Any positive advice and support is welcomed. You just answered one of my questions-----Ablilify is usually given in combination with another med---for you it is Paxil. Ablilify is seldomed prescribed solo. Perhaps a serious sit down to discuss a new "cocktail". ---and keep at it until you find the cocktail that works for YOU. Now before I go any further,---Welcome back! You've been missed. Welcome "home". I went totally off track when my SO committed suicide the morning of my WLS. After four years of therapy, I restarted from scratch. I made appointments with: my bariatric surgeon, my Nut, my bariatric therapist, my gym/pool consultant and of course BP itself. I found that my sleeve is still viable---just waiting for me to "rejoin the march". I had to learn to listen to my body, my sleeve's restriction---to work with it---not against it. In concert to my body, I had to rewrap my head around why I had WLS to start with. I had to learn to forgive myself---to care enough about myself to want to try again. It can be done, my friend. It is not easy, but it can be done and is well worth the effort. Just remember that you will not lose weight at the rate you did when you first had WLS. Weight loss is slower, but it is consistent with the effort given. Forward---one step at a time. Again, Welcome back. Post often--letting us know how you are doing. We CARE. We are here and listening. Sometimes, I hope that is enough. Made me all teary eyed. Ty so much. Being g back on here is helping already. Love u all Sent from my SM-J700T1 using the BariatricPal App
