  1. Hi adrianna, you will do just fine. If you have questions ask away as i am freshly done. Lol I can honestly tell you that the preop diet is hard but it prepares your body and mind for what's come. I get very nauseated with anesthesia. That was a very bad feeling. But they were quick to give me meds so i won't throw up. They dont want anything to hurt the new tummy. The second bad thing is the gas in your body moving and putting pressure. For what ever reason my gas loved to hang out in the chest area and back. It is temporary. That too will subside. If you burp the better. Lol Otherwise, the pain you feel is muscle pain as if you did situps to win the olympics. Goog God! But rest assured the little pump they give you to press for pain meds id awesome. I will be honest i have pressed it so it gives me that nice relaxing sleepy feeling. Enjoy it cause they take the pump away next day. Then they give you oral meds. Pump away! You can every 8 minutes. They got me to walk down the hallway and back. That helps with gas. Oh and ice chips will be your friend and tell your visitors not to make you laugh. Keep in touch!! ????
  2. Finally surgery is done!
  3. I don't know about anyone else, but....bathroom time is private time. There should be mutual respect. Sounds like he already adapted to have the freedom to walz in the bathroom while you are doing your business. Maybe it is a new practice you need to explore. Before you go to the bathroom ask him if he needs anything in there before you shut the door. My boyfriend knows better than to open the bathroom door if i am in there.
  4. HI there, mine is on Monday!!
  5. Mine is Monday! Excited and nervous. But most of all can't wait till i am over this preop diet ugh!
  6. Body pillows are the best with or without surgery!
  7. Water...drink lots of water. Helps with the headaches temporarily. When one is in ketosis, chemicals are being released in the bloodstream. Flush it out. It is all i can do. I am not allowed anything but tylenol. Tylenol doesn't cut it for me either. I suffer from migraines.
  8. Check out the protein bars from a company called "oh yeah". It is from iss research. They taste like candy bars but low in fat and sugar and high in protein.
  9. Customer service dept in any company always seems to be a7 joke.
  10. @@MissMac thank you for your kind words. I will be having it on two days. I am freaking out also. It helps to read your statement.

  14. Mine discussed it without me asking. Plus you can research some stuff on the net. If you know anyone in credentialing in the medical field you can get the real dirt.
  15. I knew someone who did that. They wore ankle weights with bell bottom pants.
  16. Can you drink milk in post op? You know to mix protein powder with..
  17. I am on my 10th day on preop diet. I am surviving on 900 calories. For whatever reason i just dont want to eat. I am forcing down the shakes. I am scared of this surgery. Reality is setting in.
  18. Not good. Makes me wonder what else do they procrastinate on.
  19. I heard it depends on your skin type. (Oily or not).... I haven't had the surgery yet but I have thought of that. I had a friend who did the surgery years ago and she did look a bit older.
  20. I thought you are not supposed to use straws after this surgery?
  21. I haven't had the surgery yet ( 4 more days) but I did read up on it. http://www.urmc.rochester.edu/encyclopedia/content.aspx?ContentTypeID=134&ContentID=107
  22. Try "oh yeah" vanilla creme Protein shake. It is made by iss research. It is actually called "oh yeah". Stupid i know. It tastes like a McDonald's vanilla shake but melted. Low in sugar. The other is Ensure in powder form in chocolate . not bad. You can add half a banana and Peanut Butter powder and ice and it will taste like a Wendy's frosty. Lol No kidding.
