I don't know about anyone else, but....bathroom time is private time. There should be mutual respect. Sounds like he already adapted to have the freedom to walz in the bathroom while you are doing your business.

Maybe it is a new practice you need to explore. Before you go to the bathroom ask him if he needs anything in there before you shut the door.

My boyfriend knows better than to open the bathroom door if i am in there.
