Congrats!! That's so amazing. I definitely would not rely to heavily on advice from this site for your pregnancy.. (Not that people aren't knowledgable) As someone mentioned, you are automatically considered high risk and you need to advise your doctor right away and get a professional to monitor and care for you. This is so wonderful, enjoy it and find a great, well versed in wls OB!!

Even though I had a medically challenging and difficult year post-op (4 additional emergency surgeries later) I wish to proudly brag that I am 180+ lbs down and am so much healthier!
Medically speaking, my blood pressure is better than normal, my sleep apnea is completely gone, my asthma is much better, my feet don't hurt, my knee is aching less constantly, I have so much more energy and my body is grateful for what I have done to try and maintain a heathy lifestyle.
NSV's; I can climb stairs and walk without wanting to die, I can keep up with my nieces and nephews, I can fit in booths in restaurants without having a panic attack before hand anticipating what kind of seating the place will have, I feel so good about myself, I eat to fuel my body and not as a coping mechanism, I can cross my legs, I am more confident and less self conscious, I will be able to sit in a plane, I'm getting noticed, I smile constantly (ok well, almost all the time - lol) I can shop in almost any store and people are much kinder and when I get staring it's usually because I look good! Lol.
I'm super proud of how far I've come and look forward to continuing my success to get to my goal weight and the will, stamina and strength to maintain it for life.
Now.. Just to quit ????.. Last vice, I'm getting ready!

Likewise ! I finally drank this past weekend, 3 1/2 months out and nothing happened. I didn't drink as much as before surgery but I had a handful of sugar free Jell-O shots and about half a glass of a margarita AND half a glass of vodka & lemonade and I was at best tipsy. I paced myself but nothing happened to me either. I was looking forward to being a light weight. I found that wine hit me harder after about a glass to a glass and a half.

shellbell79 reacted to Cervidae in Hello
The day of surgery I was 387. When I started the program I was 402. My highest ever weight was 442.
Monday will be 12 weeks since my RNY, and I'm now 335.
I've got a long way to go but I feel great, and I've worked so, so hard to get here.

2 weeks post -Op I feel the same way about jumping ahead, partially because I'm tired of the 3 mushy foods on my list but mostly because they are mostly carbs ( oatmeal, mashed potato cotta chz)
I feel like loose scrambled egg would be ok to jump to a day or two early - allowed on Wednesday - just to limit carb intake and amp up Protein
Also, I'm worried about how easy the soft foods are going down and how I feel I can eat a little more than the suggested amount 2 tbsp. did anyone else have this experience regarding fullness - or lack there of???
keeping Water intake steady - reaching over 64Oz most days

I don't believe for one second that I could have done this without surgery. I need the triple whammy of restriction, malabsorption, and hormonal changes. Without surgery I could never be satisfied with 1/4 cup of food. And although I've never had a dumping episode or vomited, the threat of both is enough to guarantee my obedience.
I overdid it at the gym a couple of times right after my surgery. It's hard sometimes to know your limits, but you'll eventually learn them one way or another.

Even if her surgeon told her what to expect that doesn't mean her body will do that. You all should understand not everyone knows what to expect what is normal what is good what is bad. Just answer people's questions politely or just don't comment at all.... Smh

shellbell79 got a reaction from thin-for-kidney in Why did I do this?
I too feel like this often! I'm 1 month post op RNY and I'm still in the hospital since Nov 5th. I had terrible complications first with a tear and then with a bleed. I thought I was going to die for both, especially the bleed. They had to completely open me up and now I have a vacuum therapy covering my wound to cray new, thick granulation tissue over my bowel and then a skin graft may be eminent. I am, for the most part, I'm pretty fregging positive but there are days that I wish i could hit the reset button for sure! I was unable to eat or drink anything by mouth for 1 month and I gained so much Water from IV's and 2 blood transfusions. But I'm happy to report that I lost 56 lbs since nov.19th.. That's crazy but I'll take it.
All that to say is that even with the weight loss, I have moments of doubt. i change that around that this is what life has dealt me and I'm going to damn well succeed. Some how..
