  1. I'm that person who doesn't kind talking about it bum not telling everybody but once I do have the surgery I wouldn't be opposed to telling some people if they ask. HOWEVER, you have to do what's comfortable for you. You don't owe anyone an explanation. If it's not something you don't care to tell people then when they ask simply accept the compliment and then tell the truth "I've changed my eating habits" or you can simply tell them "it's personal". OR, do like me, when I don't want to talk about something I change the subject lol! Good luck!
  2. Yes yes yes! I'll take skinny jeans in a 4 or 6 and some mid calf boots....I'm only 5' tall and knee high boots would make me look like a little girl wearing mommy's tall boots lol
  3. ????????????that hair!! Smh I think I was in the 9th grade. I thought I was hot stuff lol
  4. Thanks everyone! I love this sight for all the encouraging people who give awesome advice and unconditional kindness!! You all have helped me to stay determined!
  5. Ha ha and those pants I have on in the old pic are too big lol! I remember them falling off me at school ????????????
  6. Indeed I am!!! I don't have my date yet but I'm praying they will let me schedule it this week. I'm starting my prep diet Monday no matter what. If it means I'll have to be on it longer than the 4 weeks then so be it.
  7. Shorts!!!!!! I used to have very nice thick legs (genetics! Even the size 2 women in m family have thick legs!) I want them back so I can flaunt them at our annual 4 th of July Block party! I have a pair of American flag stilettos to wear and I want a cute patriotic t shirt to go with too. (I love 4th of July!!) I have about 500 pics of outfits I would like to wear once I lose the weight.
  8. When you measure your progress, are you focused more on the scale or your clothes? In the past I did weight watchers and they focus a lot on the scale. But my size and the scale usually don't agree. My size is normally more a confidence booster.
  9. I use it quite often. Usually anyplace that sells tea has it. I've gotten it at the grocery stores and the health stores like GNC and vitamin shoppe. If your local grocery store doesn't have it you should find it there.
  10. I haven't had surgery yet but info wonder if protein treatments for the hair can help in conjunction with the high protein diet...
  11. I love MFP. I forget to log in some days though
  12. Were you anemic prior to surgery?
  13. I almost cried reading your post. When the children worry its always heart wrenching. I think that your decision to have WLS is an amazing step forward in taking back your health. Congratulations! We make our choices mostly for ourselves but our children are huge factors in the decision making. I've not been sleeved yet but I'm looking forward to claiming my seat on the losers bench. Hope to see you there!! God bless!!!
  14. I lost one pound between my first and second appointments I have one appointment left and I'm hoping I didn't gain more than 1-2. But I wasn't told I needed to lose anything at this point. I just needed to make changes to my diet. Which I have. I'm thinking she will want me to lose a certain number of pounds prior to surgery during the 4 week pre-op diet.
  15. Sweetened condensed milk...I've not had my surgery yet but I used to look forward to thanksgiving because I usually make the corn pudding and I would get an extra can of sweetened condensed milk just to eat. This year I didn't make it so I didn't have any. Thank GOD!!! Lol
  16. It's not easy at all! But I've gained so much weight that now I can't really wear my heels anymore so now it's just finding cute flats. It's not bad in the spring/summer. But winter/fall is a bi@#h
  17. I would love to be in a 9-9.5. I went from 10 to 11 smh. Size 11 heels on a 5' tall woman is NOT RIGHT! ????????
  18. I already had big feet! Then when I was pregnant they went up a size. So now I'm sporting skis for feet lol! Did your shoe size change as you lost weight?
  19. What's the texture like? Have you put it in anything like soup?
  20. Current 297 size 22/3x. 5'tall. I would like to be a size 6/8. I've never been much smaller than that and with my frame I think I would look silly if I were much smaller. Although if a size 4 doesn't make me look like a bobble head doll ???? then I'm cool with that too.
  21. Great news! Congratulations and blessings for your surgery!
