I was sleeved on 10/20, and I am down 50pounds, since surgery. My current weight is 230, and I am 5'11. I have started running. I joined the group cubicle to 5k. I run in intervals. I am currently at run 1 min, walk 30 seconds. I can do a lil over a 13 min mile. I have so much energy now. I am wearing a size 14/16.
I have stopped tracking my food, and realize that is my issue so started back today, I know I have not been getting enough Protein in so working on consciously improving intake. I have also sucked at the Vitamins. I know I know....I have always been horrible with medicine,
I have no idea what my final goal is but I do know I want to be under 200 pounds.
I do wish I can see myself the way others do, I still see the fat girl. My running coach thought I was an athlete....lol! My boyfriend says my legs are muscular and those of an athlete, he said he would have wanted my legs when he played football.....I stare at myself and just can't see what they see.....I know there is a difference because all of my old clothes no longer fit. I just don't know how to get over this hurdle.
    Very proud of everyone's success!

Hello! I'm going to chime in! I have been reading posts for weeks now and really enjoy them. I finished my 6 months for my insurance and already approved for surgery. I'm having it in February 18th. So excited I can hardly stand it! I'm 52 (that is so hard to believe) and I love that there's a forum for us. Good luck to everyone!

I would use caution and also not do what I did and spend a day drinking only the v8. v8 fusion was fine also Decaf coffee unsweetened and Unjury chicken Soup Protein Drinks help fill the savory craving. Hi everyone Happy Holidays of all! Still here I ahve a difficult time logging on to BP or writing a post that freezes, frustrating. I just wanted to add my experience with Tomato juice because someone just suggested it as an alternative to the sweet options. I didn't read all my NUTs notes before I tried some V8 and ended up with a very irritated belly. Tomato juice can cause irritation, too acidic for some, so be careful. LainieG thinking of you and hope to share your sleeve success in the coming months. Losing slowly but this week had a bunch of NSVs tied my own shoes, shopped then entire mega grocery store, got rid of 4 bags of clothes, cooked 2 celebration dinners including my own birthday bash and all this while having some intense pain from 2 bone spurs and an Achilles tendon problem- not bragging about doing it just sharing how I can do life with this utterly amazing sleeve. Wishing everyone good health, peace and happiness.

@@Kathy812 Kathy I too celebrated in June! But over the weekend I noticed something very faint. My initial thoughts were surgery was causing a hormonal reaction..... I did set up a gyn appointment but not until after the new year. In 2012 I had gone 11 months without a period and the dr. Explained that if a menopausal women goes a year without a period and then has one, she should be seen by a dr. Better to check things out. I would als ask the surgeon they know bariatric patients best.

I have been trying to get on here for days. The page either doesn't load or a post freezes and wipes out before posting. So my apologies for not responding and being supportive. I know someone had emergency hemmie surgery, hope they are on the mend and feeling better. Prune juice has been magical. Phase 4 has been tough but having lots of NSVs - tying shoes, more stamina for shopping and doing chores, donating bags of
Clothes. And last night had a really cool experience, in the ER with mom (she's ok now) and after 7 hours I had to eat something, the vending machine had a Protein pack of cheese, ham and almonds 2 ounces 13 grams of protein, cold fresh delist! hubby so impressed he's ordering it for his store. The old me would have gone for the pretzels and never considered anything else. Lovely, congrats on graduating!!! May this coming new year bring everyone good health and happiness and peace on earth.

@@shmeyers WOW! Your weight loss is terrific! Sooo excited for you! I'm trudging along, slowly but happily. Phase 4 has been difficult for me. I had a few days of grazing behavior, I was feeling hungry. I don't think I was getting enough Protein in, so today I went back to doing some shakes instead of real food and I seemed to have a better handle on Sleevie Wonder. Any suggests for fast easy protein meals for Breakfast or lunch?
