My scar will actually be from above my elbow into my arm pit. But the only way it will be seen is if I raise my arms. But when I raise my arms now you see my bat wings lol. I think the scar will diminish greatly espeically with some laser treatements. You can barely see my scars on my belly or the one I have from an injury on my leg.

I havent been to my surgeon in forever either!!!! UGH he's probably gonna fuss me out lol

The surgery should take no more than 1.5hrs is what he told me. $3400 covers everything. I wont pay him another penny. Now I did pay $50 consultation fee up front but I already knew for sure that I was going to let Dr. U do the surgery! I will keep you posted for sure! Just say a little prayer Im getting nervous lol.

Yeah I have lost over 100lbs. but it seems like since I had my gallbladder last year...I have lost anymore. BUT I am only about 1/2 way filled with my band.

Well.....my brachioplasty is scheduled for November 14th at 7AM!! WOOHOO! Getting nervous. I wanted to share the journey with you all. I am posting up today preop pix! Dr. Urquehart in Anniston, AL is doing my surgery. Total cost for me: $3400! Not too bad considering his standard cost is $3600!!! Oh and did I mention that I get 3 free laser treatments to my scars!!! WOOHOO!!!! This is what my arms look like now..... This is what he said they should look like after surgery...we shall see!!!!

Anyone on here had their gallbladder removed? If so have you had trouble losing weight??

I lost about 15lbs in less than 2 weeks with HCG. It is easier for bandsters to do the HCG diet...bc it is so strict..we have an advantage bc we cant eat that much anyway! I would recommend. I myself am thinking about giving it another try. I still have a vial of HCG here!

Thanks Jachut!! I knew there was someone out there that could totally relate. I am starting FRESH today. I AM going to set small weekly goals. This week I am focusing alll on my nutrition and Water intake. I will continue with my exercising with no change. I want to be down 1 size by Thanksgiving...:-) Ill keep you all posted. Thanks for the encouragement. I am going to go get some GOOD FOR ME groceries today as well :-)

LOL-- I guess identifying the problem is probably the easiest step. Seems like it is sooo easy to fall off the wagon......terrible to try and get back on!!!!

Oh goodness....where do I start. I was banded in 2008-- I have currently lost 107lbs. I was as much as 114lbs lost but over the past year I have REALLY REALLY been struggling....I get a fill I throw up all the time. Get a slight unnfill and I feel like I could eat the house. But I have been struggling with my last 20lbs!!! For over a year now!!! I even started dieting again.....I did the HCG diet and lost 7lbs just like that but then I just hated getting shots. My problem is slider foods. I go for the easiest food to eat which is always high in calories and lower in nutrients!! I exercise 6 days a week for at least 40min. So I got that side covered. And I know I dont drink enough water. I need help. I need these last 20lbs TO GO!!!! Struggling with this for so long is making me feel like failure. SO I think my biggest problem is food and lack of water intake. BUT I AM SOOOOOO TIRED of having to "watch what I eat" Its like I am rebelling against all that I know to be right!!! When Im really sticking to it I average about 800-900 calories a day. IF I go over 1100 I start TO GAIN.........WHAT TO DO WHAT TO DO????

Lollymoe~~~ let me know what you hear about the insurance changes. I can't picture them ever covering a brachioplasty but I am interested in having other things done as well so I will be interested to see what they pick up and start covering. Preop done surgery in 3 weeks!! WOOP WOOP!!!

So I had my 10 year class reunion last night. It was interesting to see how much some of the ppl had changed. How they had gained weight, looked older etc. There were several ppl that I didnt even talk to much in high school that came up to me and were like. WOW you look fabulous WHAT have you been doing LOL :-) It felt GREAT!!!

Shawna....How are things going since surgery girl??!!!

My husband and I got divorced but we are now back together. At first he would tell you it changed me for the worse...now for the better. Yes I am more confident. But I know who I am as a person and where I want to be. I would tell ALL couples that have 1 person going thru a big weight loss or even if both are...if you wanna stay together get counseling BEFORE the big weight loss journy starts. That way you both know what to expect and can work thru it together!!!!

I live kinda half way between Birmingham AL and Atlanta GA. Just wondering if there were any recommendations for plastic surgeons near these areas. I am looking to definitely have brachioplasty done in prob Sept/Oct. I want to also have a thigh lift and probably a little tightening of my sagging neck. Please send me any info you have. WOW your arms look GREAT!!!!!! Since you're about a year out from brachioplasty do you have any recent pix? I am worried about the scar... but in my mind I either have stretch marks and really large hideous arms or I have beautiful sized arms with no bat wings and one scar! AND I would finally wear tank tops with NO sweater top thing lol.
