  1. Welcome Ivette, and congrats on your upcoming surgery!
  2. RNY on 07/29/15 was my first surgery ever.
  3. You look lovely and I hope your circumstances improve soon!
  4. Congrats! There's a wonderful view on this side - enjoy!
  5. Congrats on your surgery day and best wishes!
  6. Wow that is a remarkable weight loss for only one year. You definitely should be very proud. You look beautiful!
  7. I had the choice of either, and I initially went in wanting the sleeve. But as I got closer to surgery I changed my mind and went with the bypass. I had concerns over the GERD issues I'd been reading about. Plus I felt I'd be more successful, personally, having the benefit of both restriction and malabsorption. I've had no regrets. Good luck!
  8. I had bypass and my surgeon always does drains with bypass. But he doesn't use them with sleeve patients. Honestly I felt better upfront knowing I was going to have a drain. Better safe than sorry. But everyone is different.
  9. Always nice to hear the surgery went so well. Congrats!
  10. You should feel pretty - because you are! Congrats!
  11. Congrats - you look great!
  12. Congrats on receiving your surgery date! You're going to have a spectacular New Year!
  13. No regrets. Would do it over again in a second.
  14. That is a very uplifting NSV, and even more so that you now have an unexpected passion for karaoke to enjoy!
  15. It's quite normal for your emotions to be up in air. This is a life changing journey you're embarking on, as you set out to leave one life behind, and begin anew. And it is so worth it. It helped me at that juncture to focus on where I would possibly be if I did nothing. That did it and I've never looked back again. I'm not even at goal yet, but I'm only 30 pounds away. I would do it over again in a heartbeat! You'll be fine. Hang in there!
  16. Congrats on making the cut! Bravo!
  17. That is indeed awesome - congrats!
  18. I couldn't stomach the powdered drinks for some reason. I do like the powdered chicken Soup from unjury for satisfying the savory craving. In ready made shakes, I liked Muscle Milk as a pre op, but don't like it now. Premier chocolate ready made is my staple as a post op.
  19. I'm a little over four months out and I'm abstaining from bread too. Some days are tougher than others, but it gets easier, so hang in there! We can do this! ????
  20. So happy to hear all went well! Get some rest and then start walking! ????
  21. Welcome Cassie, you've found a home. ????. This is a great place! Congrats on the beginning of your wls journey!
  22. Oh yeah, you definitely look smaller - congrats!
  23. Congrats on the major milestone!
  24. First off, you look fantastic! You've got me beat by leaps and bounds! ???? Second, it all else fails, next year is a leap year, so I'm sure it'll all balance out in the end.
