Three cheers for fitbit their arsenal of products are great. I have had just about everyone of them and so far my favorite is the newest fitbit charge.
If you are a smart phone user the flex is just as awesome though it will not count the stairs climbed, and you can only read the number of steps when you open up the app on your smartphone.
The charge will do just about everything that fitbit one would do. It tracks sleep, steps, stairs climbed and has timers you can set to get yourself moving if you know that your supposed to be in the gym or someplace at a certain time.
I also have the Aria scale for weight and body fat and they all sync together. I enjoy all their products. My hubby uses the flex and we like to "out step" each other every day

I will join the chorus of people singing the praises of the Fitbit. I have also tried Jawbone's UP24 and Misfit's Shine, and the Fitbit has the best overall balance of features, reliability, and usability.

My husband who turned 55 today suffered from Afib for about 3 years before he saw a new cardiologist. In March the cardiologist told him there is a surgical cure for AFIB. In March he had cardiac ablation. It worked and he is AFIB free and off all of those meds. When we go on vacation, he takes a prescription of zaralto and Fleckinide just as a precaution. If he were to have AFIB he would take these meds until we came back home. He has not had any episodes.
For several years he was told he would just have to take drugs for the rest of his life. That is not true.
The only thing he takes now is an aspirin.

Yes, it's true. My collarbones have been missing for the better part of 15 years and now they are back and I find them, well...beautiful. It's funny how when you are heavy, you almost disassociate from your body. Your body is a thing wholly separate from your true self when it is heavy. I always felt like my heavy body had betrayed me and I had betrayed it.
But as I regain my old self, it's important to connect again. And part of that connection is finding little beautiful things about your body.
What do you now find beautiful about yourself?

Yikes. I know if my husband did that I'd tell him to enjoy all the sides he wants because he'll never get the main dish from me again...and the judge will divvy up the rest. IMO. Every relationship is different.
With that "side piece" attitude, he can be somebody else's problem. ????

45 pounds were from the surgery

It seems crazy to me that you've lost over 35lbs and no one's said anything! I have the same reaction because I'm over 30lbs down and it's kind of like... I've lost 30 POUNDS people!! Can't you tell?? hahaha

I have basically the same feelings. I have only had 2 people at work say something about my loss and they know I had the surgery so they may be trying to be nice. In a way its good because im not getting a lot of questions. Im just happy not to be in the 200 range anymore.

HI everyone!!! Sorry for the tremendous radio silence on my end. For some reason notifications stopped coming into my email so I've been missing out. Just a quick update:
1) still have some food that bothers me, but mostly I'm ok and trying lots of new things
2) I drink ginger ale and Water like it's going out of style; doc said ok to the ginger ale as long as I do it slow and not iced cold
3) tmrw will be 11 weeks post op and I'm ~ 30#s down.
4) just sharing a before and after. The before was from a week or so pre surgery and the post is from today.

I can not wait to make it to onederland, its been so long ago. Is anybody with me?

I had Constipation and was told to use miralax too. It took 3 days to work. I took it four 4 days and I seem fine for now.

I'm encouraged to eat green apples to help with the acid

I have been trying to get on here for days. The page either doesn't load or a post freezes and wipes out before posting. So my apologies for not responding and being supportive. I know someone had emergency hemmie surgery, hope they are on the mend and feeling better. Prune juice has been magical. Phase 4 has been tough but having lots of NSVs - tying shoes, more stamina for shopping and doing chores, donating bags of
Clothes. And last night had a really cool experience, in the ER with mom (she's ok now) and after 7 hours I had to eat something, the vending machine had a Protein pack of cheese, ham and almonds 2 ounces 13 grams of protein, cold fresh delist! hubby so impressed he's ordering it for his store. The old me would have gone for the pretzels and never considered anything else. Lovely, congrats on graduating!!! May this coming new year bring everyone good health and happiness and peace on earth.
