They will deny you without the weight history, its another way that they get over they know a lot of obese people do not go to the Dr. If you have your OB-GYN records they will take them, But I had the same problems and Had to contact emergency room hospitals, and my OB-GYN office to get the records
  3. From what I know about the plan Aetna requires the 6 months supervised diet in other to get approved. so it looks like your Dr. is right
  4. Why are they denied your claim I thought that UHC was the easiest insurance company to deal with.
  5. sorry to tell you but you must complete one of them and you cannot miss a month and than pick up the following month. they will make you start all over again. but it is so worth it.
  6. Just found out today that my UHC Choice Plus Texas the only requirements is 5 year weight history and Dr. recommendation and I have both of those, so it's look like I am on my way to a more healther me. Good Luck to everyone here. (crossing my fingers hoping everything work out)
  7. I can't located any of my Dr. from home, I am using the same Dr. you used Dr. john from lapband solutin dallas cool. I called Idon't have to do the 6 months diet just 5 year history and current bmi of 40

I have DR.Carter from that network so far so good, they have help me with finding and submitting all my paperwork,Out all the DR. there someone will be in your networks and they will do your pro. at a hospital in the network. so I will go in on Oct.31 for lab work I am still waiting on my approval (crossing my fingers) I have UHC CHOICE PLUS.   9. I have uhc choice plus and I just found out that they do cover lap band I have a consult. on oct.31. I am from New Orleans so I cannot locate my primary physcian, but I do have medical eval. from 2002-2005 showing how much I weighted at that time I have always had a BMI over 40, I also wrote a letter. wHAT R MY CHANCE OF GETTING APPROVED. the insurace company want have a way to verif my doc. anyone else had this type of problem:rolleyes:

  13. what are the requirement for uhc I called them and they said that I am covered but did not tell me what are the requirements such as Aetna has a 5 years weight history and 6 month Dr. exercise plan someone please help before I get my hopes up high my bmi is 42:help:
