Hi I just read your post about being sleep all the time.I have been that way most of my life. Well, I did a sleep study and that particular study showed apnea while in REM sleep. I don't use a cpap. But I kept complaining about my excessive daytime sleepiness and was ordered a nap study. As a result I was diagnosed with idiopathic hypersomnia. I'm not narcoleptic, just excessive daytime sleepiness. I was prescribed provigil. Hope this helps.

Hi San, welcome to the group! You will find plenty of support here. I was just approved last week and will be banded 9/9. The 6 mos supervised diet was a long wait but it will be worth it!

You are welcome, although I will selfishly admit that this forum has been therapy for me. I really haven't told anyone but my dh and one friend that I am getting banded. So I come to our lil girlfriend circle to talk about this part of my life with people who understand and won't question my decision.
