    november sleevers.

I was sleeved 11/24 I feel great. down about 22 lbs I am at a lower BMI so the weight loss is slower. But I am happy with it
  2. You will do great, after reading some of these reviews I was terrified as well. I was sleeved 11/24/14 . When I woke up I felt good some pain but could tolerate it. Just follow your doctors orders and drink and get your Protein in. I feel great and If I didn't know I had the surgery I wouldn't know I had the surgery Good Luck!
  3. Hi Carol, I had surgery 11/24/14 for measuring i used glass/plastic measuring cups with oz listed. I also used 1/4 measuring cups. You can also use a food scale to help as well. (Walmart , target any store) Premier should be fine you will be drinking it in small increments. Good Luck!
  4. Thank you for creating this thread. I have had avery good experience with my sleeve. I was thinking it's made of steel also. I am a month out I tolerate well.I drink more than 64 ounces I get in 80 grams of protein I think I have researched read too many stories. I was terrified. When I woke up from surgery the pain was tolerable. I haven't really posted because when I read all of the trouble other people have I feel guilty.. Thanks again It's nice to know others are having a good experince

Thanks for creating this thread@@SleeveNik, I had surgery last week and everything has been very good. walking, drinking no pain meds I am able to tolerate Protein I get in at least 70-80 I feel so bad reading everyone's trouble's especiallly when I see other's in the same time frame as me. I was feeling nervous because no one was saying too many good things about their process.

into my 3rd week need advice

Hi Refried Beans are a good source of Protein I love Mexican so this works well so one of my meals the I make is refried beans, cheddar cheese warmed together then I add plain greek yogurt to the top. this meal gives me 22 grams of protein Plain greek is a terrific substitute for sour cream. I also eat mashed potatoes and mix them with milk and shredded parmesan cheese and greek yogurt. I also add unflavored protein. Cottage cheese egg salad are pretty good too and I add unflavored protein Hope this Helps

    African American Hair (and loss)

Hi chocolate butterfly, I have asked this question quite a bit. I just had surgery this week on 11/24. I have met some African American Sleevers who have said that they had no hair loss. I have met and seen others who have had loss. From what I have researched is the best thing is to make sure you get in all your Protein. I have really been trying to get in high amounts of protein. I also braided my hair before surgery. I will more than likely keep it braided or maybe weave it to protect it from me combing my natural hair. Good Luck!

    No energy !

I agree if you can get in more than your required protein/water it will make you feel a lot better. Good Luck:)
  11. Hi KCSaab, I just had surgery this week on Monday, I am so sorry that you are not feeling well. I would reach out to your surgeon. Yesterday was actually my best day. I am not on pain meds since Thursday. You should be starting to feeling better but since you are not you want to make sure everything is ok. I hope you feel better soon I will be praying for you.
  12. Hi My surgery was the 24th as well. Make sure that you are walking as well. I know it has helped me a great deal. with the gas as well. also the Gas-x strips. Sip as much as you can I am praying it will get better for you

    Nj Family care

Hi, I live in NJ also. I don't think medicare covers the sleeve in NJ. Pretty sure my surgeon had spoken about this in the info session. It's still considered new. Check with your surgeon you or working with or just call NJfamily care Good Luck!
  14. yes actually I do It's a little easier. I am not tempted to taste anything because I am not hungry I had surgery the 24th of November . I helped with some of the cooking for thanksgiving. I had to take breaks but it was still great
  15. Hi Everyone, Surgery was Monday and it went really well. All I can say is that everyone is different. Therefore your experience will be different. I have been able to tolerate everything liquid so far I have been able get in my Water and Protein in. I had a lot of NASEAU in the hospital. Gas pains as well but Gas X and sipping and walking helps a great deal Few days at home. I am walking and moving around pretty good. I am tired very easy and usually need a nap. But overall good. I wish everyone the best and smooth recovery
